She is an incredible person and truly cares about each of her students, especially through her Messina. She is very passionate about the subject and tries to make dry readings better. Intense amount of reading. Papers graded hardly and not lots of chances to raise your grade. Great professor but definitely a hard challenging class.

She's a great professor if you are willing to work for your grade. Lots of reading, but take notes during lectures as this will help you when it comes to her papers. She's always willing to help you out if you go to her office.

We had 2 test, 3 essays, 6 quizzes & weekly readings. Participation is very important so youll have to read the books. Shes nice but shes way to strict when it comes to the readings and the tests. Tests were hard because she never clearly explains whats coming, plus she expects you to remember every single detail from the discussions for the test.

Tough grader who does not care if her tests are too hard. Way to much work and too hard for a core. Don't take her for your core.

She loves the bible and anything that has to do with theology. Everything we learn about is so boring but she does her best to make it interesting. LOTS of reading and notes, but chances are if youre in her honors class theres no way of getting out soooooooooo

She makes what could easily be a boring class interesting through her enthusiasm. There's a lot of reading involved, but it's always relevant and usually isn't too difficult.

Honestly, Dr. Christman grades fairly. The quality of work and participation in the class is reflected through your grade. There are a lot of readings, but if you consider a lot reading a few pages from the bible some nights or 20 pages of some book due 2 days later. She is very enthusiastic about getting students involved in class, Sweet Lady!

Dr. Christman is so nice and really enthusiastic about what she is teaching. She tried to make class as interesting as possible and was always available to help students before an exam. Class is easy as long as you take good notes and skim the readings. Some annoying papers but overall good class.

I loved this class! We read a lot for each class and had so many great discussions. I really got to know more about St. Augustine and his theology. I really enjoyed Dr. Christman, too. She was so helpful and cared so much about all of us. Encouraged questions and dialogue between students not just question/answer with her. GREAT CLASS!

took her for my second-level theology core. if you do all the readings, and jot down her key lecture points, you will do fine on all her quizzes and papers. sometimes the class was a bit dull, but not difficult to do well.

the woman is out of her mind. she makes theology wayyy more intense than it should ever be. be prepared to read a ton of ridiculous, incomprehensible material and then have to participate in discussions on it. i've gone to catholic school my entire life and i still had to work my ass off to get an A. if you have a choice.. stay away from her.

I had her last year and I have to say that I really should have listened to the comments about her being the antichrist and so hard. I didn't get the best grade in this class when I should have, especially since it is an introductory class and I worked hard. She makes it as though this is our only class! Anyone who reads this: DO NOT TAKE HER!

NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU COME FROM A CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL. Also, very difficult for a core class. If you are about saving the environment, also not recommended since you print out a lot of paper (including an over 150 page biography.) She's a sweet woman, but the biggest Christian I have ever met.

She is great when you need to go to her for help. But she gives way too much work and she speeds through alot of work and doesn't take the time out to go in depth about what the readings are. I felt at times she neglected that students had five other classes to worry about. And IT'S JUST A CORE CLASS!!!

I had her for Theology and Literature and had a great experience. The bottom line is that your grade reflects what you put into the class. She was willing to help students. You just had to do the reading to succedd. Yes there was a lot of reading, but it was worth it. Definitely take her.
