Dr. Barr is the best! I was in his class for my Messina pairing, and he totally understood the fact that we weren't all science majors. Exams can be somewhat difficult, but the papers are easy and he offers lots of extra credit, plus most quizzes are online. All of the questions on the final come from previous tests. Overall, great great guy

Brian was the best art teacher I've ever had. He is so helpful when it comes to technique. He genuinely cares about his students and their performance in his class. He has high expectations, but is never a jerk about it. I would definitely take his class again if I could.

Yes, it's true that Dr. Barr is a very intelligent man.. He just has a difficult time translating his thoughts and knowledge into words that the rest of us can understand. Didn't have a clue what he was talking about 90% of the time - had to teach myself everything from the text book. Also, grading for tests was wayy too subjective.

I didn't like him for Gen Chem, and I didn't like him for Biochem. Definitely geared towards the biology students, not the chemistry majors who are forced to take this class. Found his tests to be unnecessarily difficult. If I had a choice, I wouldn't have taken it...but he is really smart.
