I love Angie!! She was so much fun to take Abnormal Psych with! Make sure you start your research paper early because it is a lot to do. She has a clear grading criteria, she is kind of intimidating to talk to sometimes but overall she is a sweetheart and I love her to death!

high school level professor. The semester was spent listening to long family stories that didn't help explain concepts. Confusing study guides that were not helpful. Really offputting personality. Based on what she said, she seems like an adult at first, but inwardly still has the mindset of a teenager. Didn't go off syllabus at all. Class was meh

Dr. Depouw is honest to god the sweetest lady on this earth. She is very understanding when students are going through a tough time and she will even extend guidelines if needed too. I took her for General Psych and I can't wait to take Abnormal Psych in the fall with her! Love Angie!

She ives great real life examples & loves to tell stories. One of the best teachers I've had. Negatives: we never use the book, in fact, you can use the online resource for free, wasted 200 bucks on my book. Study guides are not very helpful. For tests, you have to know everything about all concepts. TAKE NOTES. AND NOD when she talks.

Best teacher I have ever had! She makes her lectures fun. She is super funny and can be serious. Very open to questions, ask away. Tests are hard, but if you study the notes she gives then you will do good. She does a great job explaining the material and makes it fun to learn. Don't really need the textbook, just for the vocabulary terms.

Dr. DePouw is by far the best teacher I have had at MCC! She is passionate about the field and is very well educated. She's so easy to talk to and is very organized. Her lectures are fun and interesting which make the time pass faster. Tests follow notes to a tee and are not cumulative which is awesome! I highly recommend her for all psych classes!

I highly recommend taking any of her classes. Her tests follow right through her notes and discussions and they are not cumulative which is awesome as a student. She cares about our success as students and is always there to talk to or to explain things further. By far my favorite teacher at MCC! :)

Angela is the best instructor I've had. She's very knowledgeable, so although she lectures off of powerpoints, she has enough examples and stories to keep the class interesting. Not much homeowrk at all, but what is assigned is extremely easy. She wants everyone to succeed, so there are lots of opportunities for extra credit. Tests are easy too.

She was a great teacher and she's alot of fun. I took pysh in high school, so it was pretty much reveiw for me but yet i still learned alot and found it relly intresting. I did all the homework so the tests were relly easy. and there isn't alot of homework. tests are clear and stright from the homework. She is an excellent teacher!

By and far, the absolute best teacher I have EVER had. She tests hard, but does not do collective testing (meaning there is no "final" you have to try to remember information from the beginning of the semester for). She is incredibly approachable, helpful and her teaching ability is outstanding. If you are thinking about taking Psych, take hers.

Mrs. Depouw was the teacher who got me interested in psychology. I changed my degree because of her teaching ability and knowledge of the subject. I had her for both 201 and 203. I really like her and would take her for another class in a heartbeat.

Really liked this class. I took psychology just as a required class, but her class really interested me. She makes her lectures easy to listen to and relates everything to real life examples, so material is very easy to understand. She gives you study guides for every test so you know what to study. It's almost immposible to receive a bad grade.

You have set homework assignments each week that are due on one day (ex. Thursday). She grades you on credit or no credit on those assignments but they are very easy! Very helpful and generous with her time. Would recommend! Exams are 50 questions and hardly any essays.
