very approachable and genuinely wants students to succeed. gives a lot of detailed individual feedback. some of the material is tough to grasp, and exams can be tricky, but she grades very liberally. take this class!

The material is not hard at all, and the explanations are perfectly coherent. If you have trouble with the material, it's your problem.

She's super nice and approachable and very easy to talk to, as well as pretty funny and upbeat .. the material is somewhat difficult but it's one of the easier Ling classes I've taken due to the lenient grading system .. there's no attendance policy but you'll need to go to class to do well.

Smart, smart teacher. Material is especially difficult for people not accustomed to logic or set-theory at first. Take advantage of office hours with her or the TA to clarify everything and you'll get a lot more out of it, I regret not doing so. Attend every class!

Angelika is sweet but ridiculous. She teaches the class like it's a grad class. And her explanations for things make no sense. If this class wasn't a requirement for the linguistics major I'd forgo it altogether. I didn't learn anything useful in this class. It also didn't help that all my professors assigned papers and projects at the same time.

Really difficult material. Reading the articles is a must and going to class helps too. For me, office hours were a little helpful but I had to skip another class to go to them and she was almost always not available any other time. Accent is a little hard to get used to. Sometimes she just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
