I love Ms Magallons way of teaching. She is a very hardworking talented and dedicated teacher. She listens to the students problems and if you need help in assignments, please make appointments. She makes everything clear but if students have difficulty she asks for appointments. She makes students to study and work hard and think critically.

Comment:

Prof. Magallon is one of the most insightful teachers Ive ever had. I loved going to her class and learned a great deal. She gave me confidence in my writing and as a student. Do the work expected, with effort, get an A. Homework, outside reading, pop quizzes. Prepare to work hard outside of class but it's worth it. I'd take her again, forsure.

Remember English 102 is accelerating class. You have to run for assignments, essays and quiz. I took this class and I always work very hard for this class. Ms. Magallon is very helpful teacher to those who work hard and regular in class. I learn a lot from this class. She is amazing. If you work hard then u will definitely pass this class as I did.

Never a boring class, you do get a lot of work but everything you do is helpful and essential to getting a good grade on the essays. Readings can get a little overwhelming for some, but it wasn't a problem for me. Her class does require a lot of time outside class, but if you fulfill all the requirements and ask for help you will pass

I thought I was not going to pass at the beginning of the semester but gradually started to get the feel of things as the semester went on. She is tough but it was a good kind of tough. I enjoyed taking the class and would take her for 1A if she taught it.

Hands down best English teacher ever. All essays are 4 pages or more. Only get 3 essays throughout the semester and of corse midterm essay and final. I'm not good at writing but she taught me a lot. Made writing essays easy! Class was so interesting because we learned ALOT of the Latin culture. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!

So awesome! I've learned so much in this class! At first I was worried about keeping up with all the reading and work, but once you see how it helps with your essays and how the topics make you think, it got easier. Not a coaster class, she makes you work, but so worth it. Totally recommend!!

When I first arrived here I took her class and did not pass. She expects a lot of reading and a lot of participating. Although I got a NP, her class was very interesting to me because it had to do a lot with the Latin culture! Honestly don't take her class if you have the chance.

I did every single assiagnment, went to every class, ALWAYS participated however I got a C-. That is because I always did my essays last minute! I suggest visiting her during office hours and have her point out things to fix in your essays! She is a little unclear about assignments and expects a lot. If you need help, she is there for you!

Ms. Magallon was my best teacher. She gives clear assignment instructions and gives great feedback. If you follow her feedback, you can't get below a B on any paper. I was so into her class, it was so much fun. I love English, I'd always go to her office hours for help to peer edit my essay and get more feedback. She was very helpful. BUT! She is not clear with assignments, hard grader, and has no sympathy. She said I was passing then gives me a NP. She's misleading. Don't take her. Just being honest!

I love Ms. Magallon! She is an excellent teacher and a great person. I did not think her essays were difficult at all, but others may disagree. Receiving feedback from her will help raise your essay grades, so get as much as possible! She is willing to help to her students to make sure they pass.

When they said the best, i almost laughed. She was, at first, the nicest person ever. I started off stong, and she made me believed that i was doing excellent even at the end. Ms. Magallon is a very nice teacher. Her essays are somewhat demanding. A lot of people seemed to have difficulties with them. I didn't think they were that bad. Lot's of reading for this class. Make sure you annotate and keep up on the reading. Make sure you ask questions when you're not clear on something. She will help a lot. Totally Recommend
