Great teacher, really knows her stuff. She seems tough at first but it mellows out. If you do the readings and attend lecture you'll do well. Her tests are pretty easy but you have to pay attention.

Comment:
The course, while promising, engendered a faint feeling of a missed opportunity. This professor is easy (almost lamentably so), and has a literature based approach to studying religion. When asked "what did you learn?" I confess that it wasn't enough material for a semester long upper division course. The course was plodding and just too easy.

Good teacher, I think she is retiring soon. She seems tough at the beginning on the semester, but shes not that hard, read the material and the tests are not that though. She picked super interesting topics for this class to which made it fun...

Came off as being very anal the first week. She wanted a seating chart, very detailed syllabus, etc, but I ended up liking her. Be warned - there is a 20 page paper due at the end of the semester. But, she's informative, willing to work with you on it and make it easy, and the class is well structured. Better than I anticipated, give her a chance!

Amazing teacher. Her passion for the subject is seen through her instruction. Class may seem difficult first day, once semester gets rolling you realize the layout of the class is so easy. 4000 word paper, all semester to do it.

She is a really good teacher. She is very understanding if you need help. She didn't really give that much homework however she expects a lot for test. So it is important that you show up and read the material. I thought she was very nice.

She is awesome. I was interested in learning about other religions, and she fulfilled that duty. There is a twenty page paper, midterm, final and a group presentation. That is half of your grade, the other half is based on attendance. It is worth the trip to the class. I enjoyed everyday of it, and would recommend her to anyone taking upper di

This was one of the best classes I've taken at Fresno State. Dr. Berliner scared us in the beginning of the semester, but the class was fairly easy. If you do your reading and participate in discussions, you will learn a lot.

too into herself and her own knowledge...overly educated to the point where it's annoying and it doesn't help the students learn. Any teacher that tries to weed out students isn't the type of teacher I want to get my education from. Never will be in her class again!
