Please dont be mislead by these reviews. Mrs. Commito is a decent professor but she expects way too much out of her students. You will do harder problems, have harder tests and have harder HW problems than any other Calc class. She expects all of her students to be "mathematicians." If your planning on majoring in math, take her, if not, avoid.

The best professor I had in my 2 years at FCC. She takes a difficult subject, Calculus, and explains it in terms that anyone can understand. There are a lot of crappy teachers at FCC. She makes up for most of the bad ones. You have to take her class! Wonderfull!!

She is a genuinely exceptional teacher. I took her for 2 classes (82 and stats) and Mrs. Commito made me see the genuine fun in mathematics. Cannot imagine the concepts being explained any clearer than she explained them. If you feel that you are bad at math, or have ever had a bad math teacher, take Commito to change your mind.

She spent a semester teaching in Pisa, really knows her stuff. Goes out of her way to help, brought a bunch of us that were studying after class brownies (brain food). She really cares, and shes a riot. TOTALLY RECOMMEND!

A most excellent professor! She really goes out of her way to make class interesting - not easy to do with Calculus. She genuinely cares about her students; they're much more than just a name in the class roster. I would take her again in an instant!
