DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. The class started out okay but her test are impossible no matter how hard you study you still cant get an A. She took attendance but she canceled class so much that we hardly ever went. We basically just had to read the book. Power points are useless and not related to test. The final is just the two tests combined (well for our class), so I highly recommend going to her review session for the final.

This class seemed to be a waste of time.I really wish I could've gotten my money back or taken it online because she was never there and we were left to learn on our own.I really don't think I learned anything.The help that she did give didn't seem to help out much at all.Her powerpoints were useless and didn't match the difficulty of the tests.

This class was terrible!! Nothing personal against dr. Newman but just having this class was absurd! A whole class on communication-- give me a break, it's a lot of information and tests are confusing and difficult. It seems that this is yet another way of UNCC keeping students out of their Nursing program :(!

This class is not "incredibly" hard. It was so easy. The tests were easy. The class was boring and pointless, yes, but good lord it was easy.

this class is rediculous! No matter how much you read the book and study it's encreadably difficult to get an A. Her tests are the wonderful ones where all of the answers ARE right, you just have to pick the "best." I find Anatomy easier than her class! If I could go back i would have NEVER taken her class, and I wouldn't if I were you either!

Class is good she's easily understood, but I study very hard for everything and I really thought I knew the material UNTIL I GOT THE TEST. The stuff she talks about isn't close to even being worded the same way that it is on the test. SUCKS BAD!

I found the class challenging because I feel that this subject is not something that can really be "taught" very easily, but I think that Dr. Newman did it better than anyone else could've. You could tell that she was very passionate about the subject.

Slides every day, but she's a very lively lecturer. The end of year project is cool, but I didn't like the exams in the class; they were fair but kind of hard to study for due to the nature of the material. I think if you study well, you might end up with an A and if not that, definitely a B.

You might think that you know the material. But you really don't, the tests are difficult. The book is worded so weird, it is hard to understand. Projects in her class are easy but thats a negative for the tests~
