Comment:
Dr. Lillios' Russian Lit class was very overwhelming to say the least. Had to read War & Peace, Brothers Karamazov, Dr. Zhivago, Master & Marquieta (novels over 500+ pages) read within a few weeks span. Part-time student juggling two other lit classes, this was too much to handle. Needs to be mindful of students time when planning a reading list.

Worst class I've taken at UCF and it is because of this professor. She will not bother replying to your emails unless you mention you've already emailed her several times. It is extremely disorganized online course, so you have to "hunt" for assignments. Which most people missed assignments because of this (you will drop a letter grade for missing1

Dr. Lillios gave only 13 assignments total for the semester, so if you missed even one point, goodbye letter grade. Zero credit for late work. She put a book that wasn't on the syllabus on the weekly module and expected students to magically have it. Easy work load, but don't miss an assignment!

Really frustrated by this class because she does not make it easy to find assignments. Just when you think you've accomplished all the assignments there are hidden ones. They don't appear on the calendar and sometimes they aren't even in the assignment tabs so you see there is nothing to upload& assume you don't have an assignment.

Dr. Lillios has really informative modules on the fiction we read and offers help and feedback on essays before they are turned in. Overall her course is no different than other online classes. Self-driven students who don't mind self-teaching will do well. No quizzes, easy discussions, lots of reading, nice lady.

Dr. Lillios has good intentions, I am sure but the way that the course is structure the course load is too heavy for her to be grading by herself. I never knew when things were due because they were not posted on webcourses calendar and my grade suffered because of it. I will say she gives great feedback on essays but the discussions were pointless

Dr. Lillios kind of sucks. She doesn't put all of her assignments in her grade book at the beginning, so it's difficult to use the "what-if" feature as you go. Her grading falls behind to last minute. She also doesn't set up any Canvas Notifications for discussion posts, so if you rely on those, tough luck. Trust me, just avoid her online class

I loved Dr. Lillios' literature class! If you like reading, taking this class. I felt like the reading load was perfect and I enjoyed the books that she assigned. There were discussion posts, three 1250 word papers during the semester, and a final of 1000 words. Would love to take her again!

Online class, no tests, only essays. A lot of group work, but if you can follow basic instructions you'll be fine. Read something every week, write a discussion post, write a reply to someone else's post and that's it. Had four essays, but one was optional and the chance to do a creative project instead was offered. Can't pass without textbook.

She has a very specific way in which she wants students to write their essays so be sure to follow it. There is no room for creativity in the work she wants writing to be basic and straightforward. Also she will tell you often that she has a ton of other papers to grade. This may account for why she has little tolerance for "stupid" questions.

She definitely read and critiqued papers very stringently. Her suggestions for paper topics were very helpful, with specific ideas to focus on. A true literati and academician. My only bad experience, I got deadly ill with the flu, sent a Dr note for a late paper, yet she docked me 10%. Never had a prof disregard a documented illness. Harsh!

Many books to read, usually due in a space of two days. Even though she has clear due dates, she grades assignments about once a month rare feedback. The class was fairly easy though. I do not recommend her purely based on her lack of communication, and because she doesn't return grades in timely manner. You must rely heavily on your group members.

I took her for American Literature 2, and she seemed nice at first but her grading system is way off. She grades too harshly for the smallest things like commas. I would not recommend her!

I hated this class at the start of the semester. However, I'm starting to enjoy her course more and more. You must have great time-management skills to read the heavy work loads. Dr. Lillios does have room for improvement.

If you can't write essays, do not take this class. Period. I write great essays, but she counts off for things as insignificant as Oxford commas. You can get a C on a paper with no written reason, simply some grammar edits. She doesn't actually help much. Took it online.

Online class had ridiculous workload which sucked the life out of all my other classes. Would not give direct answers on material. While group links are well organized, course information is spread out all over the place to large (download only )files that need to be referred to often. I would not recommend this instructor.

Hands down the easiest class I've ever taken. It was my first official online class and it couldn't have gone any smoother or been any easier. The lowest score I received on a paper was a 90%. She's also crazy helpful. Offers to help via E-mail, telephone, and even Skype (since it's an online class). Great material too!! Loved the class.

She is nice and the workload isn't too horrible. She gives A LOT to read in a short amount of time. So be prepared. Your grade will mainly come from the 3 essays, which she takes forever to grade. I'm not even sure she grades anything at the end of the semester. You don't get feedback, just a final grade on transcript that is lower than expected.

A pretty good professor and class. She is always willing to help and grades fairly. I didn't care for all of the group work and various due dates/times, but it wasn't too hard to keep up with once you got the hang of it. The readings weren't that exciting, but they were relevant and we got time off to read them. I would take this professor again.
