Not one of my favourite classes I have ever been in, class was slightly boring but midterm and final exam were VERY hard, and completely unrelated to class content and textbook content. Other than that she is nice.

She is a nice elder woman, who loves to dance, but cannot teach well. She does not clearly state how to do something and just assumes that she is right, and that you are wrong. Her instructions for tests & quizzes were not clear at all and if you have a problem in her class with a test or assignment your S.O.L (shit out of luck)

A terrible prof. Take this class with Holloway if you can manage it. Taught only 1/4 of the syllabus, exams were on totally random, obscure crap. Never seems to know where her sentences are going when she starts them, so it's impossible to follow her lecture. Is snide and mean to students with little or no provocation, and will not drop the subject

What a crazy lady. Rather disrespectful to students, even out of class. Although she does let those who deserve it have it! She did not cover the entire course outline and spent AGES on the easiest chapter. Basically we covered 2 chapters before first midterm. Buying the textbook was a huge waste of money as she only taught like 6 chapters. AWFUL.

Ok, seriously avoid at all costs, she actually singled me out near the end of a lecture and screamed at me for apparently talking in class, which I wasn't. She made me cry in front of the entire class then preceded to tell me not to bother coming back to class, it was humiliating and unwarranted.

She loves these higher years classes. The small enviroment takes all her usual hysterical aspects away. Very accomodating to student schedules and suggestions. You may have to be on her to set definite dates. Not too much material covered but really interesting. Be prepared to do a poster presentation.

She is the sweetest woman to 4th year students! Take microbial phys, its a terrific course. Microbiology is not my area of interest and I took this course merely to complete a physiology requirement for my degree. However, it turned out to be my favourite class all year. The courseload isn't bad at all and overall its very interesting material.

THIS WOMAN IS CRAZY!!! Says the overhead projector reminds her of the devil and asked a student if she was going to set us on fire. Terrible teacher and tests are impossible. I loved the course content and the lab but wish I hadn't had this crazy lady as a prof. Wait for Paul Holloway to teach this course... DO NOT TAKE CLASSES WITH ADKINS!!!

Her multiple choice tests are incredibly stupid. What merit to anything scientific does having to know how to spell E. coli have? Why do we have to know what Louis Pasteur looks like? Don't bother studying too hard for the tests, because even if you do, you're not going to do well.

You need to stay on Adkins good side. Any criticism simply accept it. Never ask a question, always phrase it as a confirmation, you'll get in less trouble this way. Very interesting course. She focused on a lot of detail.
