Annette is the worst instructor I have ever had. Her teaching is awful, projects involve no creativity whatsoever, and the briefs are very vague. Yet, she expects you to meet requirements that she does not state until you have done the work only to be told that it is wrong. Unprofessional and condescending. Save your money and avoid at all costs.

Had Annette for 2nd Year GD 1, started off great, workflow was good, by the time we hit the second half of the semester things went downhill. She changes her mind very quickly, each week it's a different response/reaction, double standards, has no shame announcing that you're work is filled with flaws. I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend, save yourself & GPA

Honestly was scared to take her class but she is one of my favourite teachers by far! She takes her time each class to sit down with you and walk through your ideas and progress. I can't say enough good things about her teaching skills. All 3 of her assignments were thought provoking and challenging but provided me with items for my portfolio.

NEVER TAKE HER! She is by far the worst prof at OCAD. She picks on certain students, she's unfair and does not give good feedback but when she does, she forgets by the next week and then tells you that your idea is wrong and doesn't fit her brief. Even if you have no other option to take her as a prof, don't do it. You'll be frustrated every week.

I wouldn't say she's horrible but she's on that short end of the straw. I remember setting up an appointment with her but she never told me where the office was. She doesn't teach you about software so you're on your own. She can miss class but if you miss, she'll tell you you're really behind. Just not very helpful overall, I'd watch out.

she is awful, she is disrespectful and pick on u in class what kind of a proff does that she is not that good in help she would keep asking you to stay on one thing over and over again. DO NOT TAKE HER. AND she skips classes and don't know she says she will make it up for them.

Little to no positive or constructive support. Her critiques are influenced by her liking you or not, not based on your work, no matter how hard you work. Even if she's nice to you; she won't tell you how bad your work is even if your peers see it's bad. Horrible in email communication and unavailable office hours. Unprofessional and moody. AVOID!

Fabulous teacher, I read the previous comments and avoided her class but was stuck with her one semester. Absolutely great teacher, very helpful and understanding of personal issues. Her class is the first class where I felt I actually had portfolio pieces. Don't skip classes, she gives a lot of in class work time and is open and available to talk.
