He is great professor but you cannot miss any classes and need to definitely put your work into his class. Record all his lectures, make additional notes on his lectures, you need to study there is lots of material to cover. I found his test were fair but it took a while to get used to his style. Overall very helpful outside of class. Nice guy.

I had the pleasure of having Anoush as an instructor in Biology 1215. He has high standards for his students but is fair, consistent, unbiased, and clear with his marking. After the first quiz, I became familiar with his expectations and did well. The class average was in 70 percentile and some students achieved 100% on test.

Aboush is good at explaining tough material but that's it. He marks exams hard and I felt that he was a bit cold and indifferent. His notes were just blocks of questions which he answers during the lecture. So pay close attention otherwise u will miss vital points. He goes off tangent many times during the lecture which i personally don't like.

His lectures are amazing! I was never bored and learned some cool stuff. He has high expectations of his students but he is very clear as to what he expects and his grading criteria. If you know his notes well, you will achieve high grades.

Anoush is an extremely difficult and specific marker, if you don't write exactly what he's looking for you won't receive full marks. His class is very test heavy, and he takes attendance during every lecture. You have to pay very close attention during lectures because what he talks about is what you're tested on, since he doesn't use the textbook.

Love Anoush! He makes lectures very interesting and lets you record them which ends up being very helpful. He expects a lot from his class and he fosters a bit of competition by announcing highest marks. I believe this made people try harder and our class average was very high. He uses examples and tests on those-always interesting.

Hes the best bio prof Ive ever had, I took him for both 1115 and 1215. It is not suppose to be easy to get good marks. Do what he tells you to: go to class, take notes, and record his lectures. His lectures are engaging and he always relates the stories he tells back to what hes teaching. Study hard and youll get the grade you deserve.

Amazing professor. His ability to explain difficult concepts in a simple and comprehensible way is bar none. This course contains a lot of content so study often. The main pitfall of this course is the lab portion because the lab instructor doesn't clearly specify what she wants. ALWAYS ASK EXACTLY WHAT SHE WANTS YOU TO DO IN EACH ASSIGNMENT.

Anoush is super helpful. He spends the whole 3 hours of the lab helping students and is always available in his office. He has high expectations of his students. But he is fair and clearly states how he grades. His lectures are always interesting. He inspired me to follow a career in biology. Recommend him for sure!

Anoush is by far the best instructor at Langara, Ive taken almost every course he teaches and have learned more from him then all my other instructors combined. His passion for his job shows in lecture and he actually cares about students succeeding. Take good notes and attend every lecture for an easy A+. Very charming and has the nicest eyes:)

Anoush is fair and nice. The course is very heavy. Do not cram --take detailed notes and always try to learn the big picture first. He makes you apply concepts. SHOW UP TO ALL CLASSES! USE OFFICE HOURS! USE PEER + / BIO TUTORS PROVIDED! Anoush does not use a textbook so attendance is critical. Take the lab portion seriously as it is weighted.

One of the best! He is very good at keeping the class interested and involved in lectures which is sometimes very hard in bio. It is very obvious he enjoys teaching as he gives a lot of effort in making sure students are understanding the material. Tests and marking are fair as most of the questions come directly from the notes

Anoush is the BEST PROF I've ever had in my entire life. His stories are hilarious and lectures NEVER boring. so much laughter.. Be sure to record them, though, because his exams are purely based off of his lectures. So you should make good notes from the recordings. I promise you won't regret taking bio with him. I miss his class so much!!!

He is very good at keeping you listening. He makes the subject interesting, and seems to really enjoy teaching. For tests, err on the side of overexplaining, because he really wants you to spell it out.

He is always punctual and dedicated to teaching. You can tell he enjoys his job. His marking is fair and impartial. He marks each question one-at-a-time for all students and then checks the questions he marked wrong again to be extra fair to those who are loose marks. Recommend him :)
