The best prof ever. Explains material very well, gives many examples and is always willing to answer questions. Gives a quiz every Friday, but he tells you exactly what to expect so they're easy. I would not have understood and done well in this course without him. I've found that the math department here is lacking good profs and he is a rare gem.

Dr. Ferzola is one of the most respectful and caring professors you will ever have. He is willing to answer every single question until the whole room understands the topic and is quite clear as to what is needed to study for exams. Mini quizzes every Friday are easy to ace if you do the homework and he is a fair grader for exams.

If you've taken calculus, this class is beyond simple. If not, no big deal. Quizzes on Friday in addition to the midterm and final. Everything we do in class ends up on a quiz, where the questions are very similar to the examples. Lowest quiz grade dropped. I recommend!

Real nice guy. Class isn't mandatory but it's math so you don't really wanna miss. The class is pretty easy if you just keep up with what you're doing and we have a quiz every friday which is kinda annoying but they're not too bad so could help your grade. he was only math teacher i could ever understand so i would recommend because he teaches.

Class kinda stunk. Dr. Ferzola was great though. Short quizzes on the readings, but he covers the readings in the lectures. Two 10-15 page papers. First was on a big theorem or problem and its history. Second was on a mathematician and his work. Very fair grader, some might even say a little lenient. Overall, not-so-great class, but great prof.

Took this class as a reader. Only graded homework, no tests. But everyone I've talked to said that the tests actually helped their grades. Dr. Ferzola is a great guy and a great professor. He'll help you with whatever you need, whenever you need it. Very lenient grader and very easy-going. Course wasn't the most exciting, but Ferzola made it fun.

He teaches well and thoroughly explains everything in class. It would be hard to learn if you didn't go to class. Daily homework. Weekly quizzes which are pretty easy, and every third week is a test instead. Tests are a bit harder but not impossible. He is very good at answering your questions, and tries to give as much partial credit as possible.

Dr. Ferzola is an excellent teacher. Goes over hw questions in class and he writes his own notes on chalkboard to visualize math concepts. No slide shows. Quiz every Friday but they arent bad. His tests are not the easiest but if you study you will do fine. He is always there for students and willing to help. Really nice guy and teacher.

You just can't get any better than Ferzola. He's the best in the department, period. Lectures are always clear, precise, and engaging, even at 8AM. Homework and tests are very fair, no tricks like some others in the department. Ferzola is always available if you need help with the class, or anything in general. I will take him again and again!

Dr. Ferzola is one of the best teachers at the U! Linear involves a good amount of upper level math and proofs, but Dr. Ferzola does a great job simplifying the concepts so everything makes sense and fits together. The homework and tests are graded very fairly. Linear is very useful in other classes, and Ferzola does a great job teaching it!

Fun class. Annoying homework assignments due just about every other day (they took about an hour, so it's not like he's asking too much from students in a 462-level class). Tests weren't bad if you knew what you were doing. If you had no clue what was going on or what an integral is, it would probably be a little harder.
