Horrible!!!! this class was rediculous...she expects way too much from a 200 level class. it honestly felt like grad school or something. i know writing is something you do a lot of in college but a book report?? come on, we are not in 3rd grade! the final was 40% of our grade....so insane!AVOID! and she takes FOREVER to grade stuff!

She a good teacher but really really hard. She is probably one of the smartest people I have ever met. Her class is all lecture. Read the book before you go to class. It helps a lot. Study a lot for the exams because she is an insane grader. All in all nice women...tough class. Good Luck

HARDEST CLASS I WILL EVER HAVE TO TAKE!!!! does not expect you to pass exams, but the exams are the only grade for the class. get out while you can. sweet lady, but very high standards for 100 level. i felt like i was in law school. dont expect to do well.

Not as bad as everyone says. She is sometimes tough to take notes on but her discussions do pertain to the material in the book even if they seem off topic. Expects alot, but if you're not afraid of work you'll be fine. Just study and read!Shes also very willing to help and seems to care very much for her students. I think she's a great professor.

TERRIBLE. This woman is kind, but she goes off on tangents. She is a HARD grader. This was the worst 100-level class I ever took. Expects people to fail the first exam. NIGHTMARE. Really a sweet woman, but BAD at teaching. Hated the class and I would have wrather jumped into a pit of alligators than show up there at 9:30 am to listen to rambling.

She is very knowledgable and teaches from this and her experience- but can be very demanding about the material. If she assigns readings she expects that you not only read them, but comprehend them before coming to class. If you are not a political science major or minor or have little background, any of her classes might be over your head.

I had a horrible time in this class. For a level 100 class I did not expect it to be as hard. I knew nothing about politics before the class and when I entered the class she expected us to be knowledgeable. I had a hard time catching up to students who knew more.

This professor is terrible. expects the class to do poorly and even states this in the beginning. gives unclear assignments and when you read it for the class, tells you you are wrong that she didnt expect anyone to get it right. Exams are nearly impossible and teaching style is unfocused, lectures very dry. also obcesses over her rmp.com rating.

She's very tough and demanding, but not unreasonably so. It's obvious she not only knows her stuff, but also wants her students to understand and grasp the material as well. Open to all viewpoints. Expect heavy reading; this IS a 300-level course, so it shouldn't be a shock. Do NOT get behind. Use of notecard case briefs for exams.

not very many assignments to base your grade on. midterm, annotated bibliography, book report, and final exam are your only grades. have to read the books if you want any chance of passing exams. she is very smart but she lectures a lot and never writes on the board. if you want to know what is on the exams you have to go to her for extra help
