Antonio Franceschet is a very nice and enthusiastic professor. His classes are really clear and well-organized. It is very easy to see him during his office hours and ask for help. If you regularly attend class and do most of the readings, everything will be perfectly fine! He is a helpful, funny and structured professor.

This prof is very funny and really drills the info you need to know into your head. You should attend class and take decent notes because that is what he will test you on. He was very interested in questions but be sure to catch him in his office hours because he is great to talk to outside of class!

To succeed in his classes, one only has to find themselves on the right side of the biased marking system. Add that to his unwillingness to prepare for seminars (no intro lecture before discussion, no essay topics provided) left me less than impressed.

AF appears to be out of his league at Acadia where close, mutually respectful relationships between learned professors and interested students are the norm. In addition, multiple marking standards seem to be at play in upper-level courses.

Honestly, I have been a student at this school for five years and he is the WORST Prof I have ever had! Get on his good side early because that is your only hope for getting a good mark (and the Soprano references get annoying after a while)
