Prof Taylors teaching style is different in the sense she does not limit your mind but forces your to form ur own opinions about the reading. The best things about her class is the open discussion ( there were actually fights btwn students) that keep you awake). She doesn't limit the essay topics but allows you to form your own. which i think was gre

Professor Taylor is not only well read, experienced and an exemplary educator, she was an indispensible asset to John Jay. She should be celebrated for her ability to groom a student's potential to greatness.Only wise students would appreciate her constructive criticism and thank her for her help. Very interesting teacher. She does give writing assignments in class alot but they are on little tear off sheets ! I think that her style of teaching is a little different from other Lit. Professors but that is what made it very easy . If you do the readings you should not go below a B/B+ .

The books Prof. Taylor assigns are interesting, but her approach to teaching them is like a high school teacher's. Her class was a major disappointment! My only consolation in taking her class is that I had to read a few great books... otherwise, over my dead body do I take another of her classes.

she's a jolly professor but she doesn't like answering student's questions. we would ask her questions about the book and she would ask us what we think and never answer the question herself. although it wasn't an intensive writing course, she makes us write on these little papers every week or so.
