Absolutely great! Not many assignments and gives you plenty of time for each. Explains everything clearly and always available if you need clarification. You don't need to buy the textbook, just look up the topics and concepts online. Tests are absolutely fair! One of the best professors!

He teaches very clearly, but he gets boring. 5 tests, open-book and open-note. I recommend doing a few exercises from the book between classes so you stay sharp - this worked really well for me. He can be condescending, but he does want you to learn. Really great teacher, even though it's hard to focus sometimes due to boredom. I learned a lot.

What can I say hes a good guy. Straightfoward with grading, and goes over all the material you need to pass his exams. His exams are open book , don't just show up to the exams without knowing anything though. You don't want to run out of time actually doing the test. No reason not to do good in his class and I actually learned a lot.

Concepts get confusing, but it's not that difficult. For tests, just make sure to copy down what he says word for word during lectures and then use it in your answers (open note tests). There's several take home assignments so the textbook is necessary. But he checks your answers (via email) before you submit so you can't not get an A on that.

Great professor, took him for phi of physical science. Lectures are quite interesting and thought provoking. I understood a lot of physics qualitatively rather than when i took the actual course for science. Has mostly take home exams. Buy the book most of the questions are straight out of it. Some work but a very manageable class and worth it!

Gianelli rocks. Open book test? And by open book, I mean use of laptop during a test is A-OK! Textbook is needed for homework/ take home tests. Sometimes I doze off a little, but he says a lot of interesting stuff and makes you think more! TAKE HIM!!

I love it when a professor can be laid back and lenient, and at the same time inspires you to learn. He goes over the material very slowly, but I never skip/sleep because the way he presents them makes it interesting and engaging throughout.

All exams and assignments are open book/notes/laptop in the form of essay questions. Explains complex material clearly. Does not believe in powerpoint slides; take good notes because you will need them. What are you waiting for? Take him!!

He doesn't write on the board so bring your laptop to take note on what he says. It helps a lot on his tests. Tests are all open book/laptop and some are just simply take home or combination of both. Also, he's the guy that suggested a 3 THEO/PHIL core for STJ! Throw rocks at him! Jk, he's a good guy. He'll make philosophy easy for you.

He's an interesting professor. Took him for phil. of the physical science - basically a phyics class from the point of view of philosophy. Dr Gianelli tries his best to explain the difficult concepts. Attendance is not necessary, but helps when it comes to in-class exams. There are also take home exams. Textbook helps a lot!!

Dr. Gianelli is one of the best prof. He was formerly a physics professor so for science/pharmD majors his lectures/topics are highly relevant. He will change how you view and rationalize the world. Many of the tests are take home, lenient grader. Definitely wants students to succeed. Very interesting man if you get to know him

was alittle worried about metaphysics but its not a hard class with him. open-book tests and take home questions can be sent to him early for review before actually submitting it. think he wouldve liked it better if we participated. you really ought to take good notes and copy notes from someone else if you were absent.

Doesn't take attendance. 3 open notes/book tests with take-home portions on each test. No Homework. One optional extra credit paper. If you want an A in Philosophy, I suggest you take Dr. Gianelli. It's a dull class but the tests are so easy and the lack of work makes this the best PHI class you can take.

This professor knows what he's teaching. Logic class was good - easy A, but you do learn a lot in the process. The tests are all open book and notebook, but get progressivly harder as the semester goes on. I highly recommend him.
