Professor Abdallah is an interesting professor. Does he know his stuff: yes. Is he a good teacher: questionable. I was in his hybrid (mostly online) class and the setup was interesting. No online lectures just read the book and do the assignments, interesting approach. Midterm was online and not curved. The final was in person and curved. Good luck

Comment:

BACC 3115 with Professor Abdallah has been one of the most disjointed classes here in Stillman. Lecture material and HW are long yet rarely pertain to exams and are rather pointless to even complete. Gives same curve for all classes despite different classes having objectively harder exams. One saving grace is he's always available in office.

Comment:

Took Cost Accounting as a hybrid section. If you are willing to read a chapter a week and practice with a few questions you will get an A+ easily. He also curves (but not by much) and offers extra credit (worth 1% of the final grade). I'd recommend him. His exam questions were similar (but not identical) to the practice and homework questions.

took him for managerial accounting... can't understand what he is saying a good amount of the time and his exams are harder than his study guide and you are going to have to teach everything to yourself but he is a nice friendly guy and it goes a long way if you meet with him during his office hours

I'll be honest, in class, I couldn't really understand him, but when you approach him one on one he's great and really helpful. Very nice man, just a hard accent. Don't really know how I ended up with an A though. Just do well on the exams.

You need to teach yourself in this class. Very nice guy but his accent makes it near impossible to understand what's going on. If you take him make sure you teach yourself through the book. Has his PowerPoints online and homework is optional besides projects. Likes to call on random people to answer his questions

I took him for managerial and absolutely loved him! Very helpful and nice professor and his lectures are thorough. He gives you a general idea of what is on the test and is always very nice with extra credit/extend deadlines

Don't get me wrong he's a nice man, but impossible to understand. He speaks low with a heavy accent. It makes the material more difficult. But if you study from the book you'll be fine.

Absolutely terrible. The worst professor I've ever had at Seton Hall. He can't even speak english. He gives you practice exams that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual exams. Would not recommend him to my worst enemy

The worst professor I have had in undergrad or grad! Be prepared to work 40 hours a week just on this class-he is crazy. A project every week,plus reading 2 chapters, plus homework, plus online conferences. There is a midterm and a final-at least 30 hours to complete the midterm. Average in the grad class was a 73! Don't take him.

He's a sweet guy with good intentions. His lectures are unbearable because he doesn't explain anything, he just reviews problems (which are not on the exams) and he is difficult to understand. If you put forth reasonable effort to seek out help, even if its to no avail he will give you a decent grade just for being in his face :)

He is a nice professor that wants his students to pass accounting. He gives reviews late, he doesnt know whats usually going on, and the tests have a curve. But he teaches just to teach he never seems so passionate about his work. His class is based on three exams, attendance, and the business project - he has no idea about anything. Easy grader.

This professor does not speak clearly. Thus his lectures are pointless and yet they are mandatory. Take this professor only if you have no other choice. You will need to teach yourself everything, including what to do for the project he requires. He gives 3 quizzes and 3 tests and takes attendance.

Great guy, wants you to succeed but requires you to do plenty of hard work out of class. He works out problems crystal clear on the board and gives you sample tests which are pretty much the actual test. The class isn't easy but don't be lazy and you can get an A. The accent is a bit rough at first but not too brutal.

If you take him for Cost, its not your fault as it is your only option. He is a moron. When he does a problem on the board, he does it wrong. Tests always have something on it that you did not cover in the chapters. He goes over chapters for test 2 before you take Test 1. Makes Everything harder, show up, dont listen to him,but do the problems

I really dont like this guy, he's terrible, he doesn't work with you. YOU DONT LEARN ANYTHING! I've had some bad teachers here at SHU and I still manage to get an A in their class... this class its just not possible. he makes everything harder than what it should be when he explains a problem in class your better off not listening n do it on ur own
