Comment:

Heinricher is the man as far as math professors go. He teaches you the material, his lectures keep your attention, and the assigned work is valuable in terms of cementing the material. Then again, he likes to make his classes tough, but he's a good guy. If you have a chance to take a class with him, by all means go for it.

Hard class-definitely lots of outside time, but worth it in end. Do homework and go to as many help sessions as possible. Fair grading policy. Try to get help ASAP if needed, he will make office time for you if you ask and is helpful. Lectures go fast though, easy to lose track of material if you fall behind. Don't pick the easy projects!

Frankly, he was a dick in class. But as long as you did the homework, practice tests, and project it was a pretty easy class. The TAs will fill in any blanks. The first half of the term seems packed with new material but it levels off and during the last couple of weeks everything sinks in.

This guy is a real jerk - asked for help, was told that obviously I ignored all the course material up to the point where I was confused. Not understanding something, and ignoring the topic completely, are two different things... as far as I know anyways.

This professor is by far the best I have had in my career at WPI thus far. The material is difficult, but he explains it as many times as the class needs. He's always patient with stuff like that. Always tries to make office time for you. He always has numerous help sessions. Do your homework and you should be all set for his exams!

Really nice guy. Homework is sometimes very difficult, but he drops the lowest 4 homework and quiz grades together. Lectures aren't boring at all, but they can be stressful if you're "in the box," meaning that you and your conference section sit in a particular row and answer all of his questions.

He is an awesome teacher. His tests are easy and he makes it very easy to pass his class with a good grade. He is also very understanding about stress I mean how many teachers let you retake tests up to four times!!!! This guy is AWESOME
