Dr. Mar is probably the best professor you will ever have for anything to do with Chemistry, his lectures are very nice and never get boring as he does demos which demonstrate the concept youre learning. His quizzes and exams are fair and his office hours are helpful and overall, hell always ensure that you understand the concepts of you ask him.

Follow and memorise how to do all problem sets. His midterms and even final exam were very similar to them. You will not need textbook but must attend lectures because he does not post his written notes online. Overall really amazing prof, if you listen to him, you will understand the concepts.

Amazing professor. Struggled a bit on the in class quizzes and midterm but they prepared me for the final really well. Attend every lecture and read your lecture notes as tests are directly from lecture notes. Also a funny guy.

Doctor Mar made lectures interesting and sometimes did demos with the class. The quizzes were hard to do really good mark on as there is time limit but if you know your material you will do alright.

I gave him a 4 on difficulty because like many profs, they do make you work for it. If you don't practice outside of class, or study what you've learned, you will fall behind. He has 2 quizzes in class, and about 10 online, plus the midterm, so he really tests if you know your stuff. He's a really caring prof and I recommend if you want to work

Dr. Mar is an amazing professor. If youre looking for a good chem prof, hes definitely the best of the options. The textbook isnt required at all to do well. As long as you take good notes during lecture, do the problem sets he provides you, and complete the online quizzes, youll do great.

Dr. Mar was an amazing professor. He handwrites notes in class so you have plenty of time to take down notes. Expect an online quiz once a week that will test you on concepts covered in lectures from the past week. As long as you know your material well and do the practice sets the in-class quizzes, the midterm and final are very fair.

Mar is a very good prof. He tests from his lecture notes so the textbook isn't to useful. The hardest thing about his class are the time limits on the in class quizzes. Other than that, he is great. Would definitely recommend.

Do the problem sets he hands out because most of his test questions are straight off of them. And don't just look at the answers (like I did), but actually work through them, because again the test questions are straight off the problem sets. Nice guy though and helpful in office hours.

First of all, who gives a homework quiz before classes even start. His class starts off alright and gradually becomes more difficult. Do the problem sets if you wanna pass. Make sure you're caught up and understand whats going on. He's hard to talk to and judgmental, expects you to know everything and if u don't u feel judged. His quizzes and midte

If you just do all the problem sets he gives out, you will be set for the quizzes, midterm, and final. SERIOUSLY. Took me half a semester to realize this, and when I did, I aced the final.

Dr. Mar is an amazing prof. You put in the work, you get the results. I get why people found 101 difficult, but in the end, he is super helpful. For office hours, he makes you think harder to understand a topic if you need help. Along with A+ lectures, he has detailed problem sets and solutions, v similar to the exams. He's also quite a funny guy.

Dr. Mar was definitely my favourite professor I had this semester. Using clear, handwritten notes meant lectures that were well-paced and concepts were all explained so thoroughly. He is caring enough to set up extra review sessions before midterm and final. Makes chemistry easy as long as you pay attention and show up to class.

Amazing prof!! He's funny and super passionate about material! I didn't go to office hours as he answers emails quickly and in a very detailed and caring manner! Reading the textbook isn't necessary unless you don't quite understand a concept from lectures. Very organized lectures. Never skip because you write the notes yourself! Lots of studying!
