He is completely rude to his students. Makes comments that "he is disappointed" in the grades, and "if you received below a certain grade don't bother showing up for the test, send someone else". Frequently say's "If you don't like it, I don't care". Lectures are CONFUSING! Book he authored IS HORRIBLE (so many mistakes). AVOID!!

He seems like a good mathematician which is probably wh he has the job, but he is terrible as a teacher. He is hard to hear even in the front, hard to understand if you can hear him. He takes no care in helping you. If you ask for help he averts the effort of helping you by trying to give you such a confusing answer that you stress and give up.

His lectures might be hard to follow at times because he assumes the students are smart enough to follow. He knows his stuff very well, and he is happily willing to explain everything of a complicated problem in great details. OVERALL he is a very nice professor, but too bad he is retiring after this semester.

He is a nice guy, but he's usually late to class. His lecture didn't help me at all. You have to teach yourself. Midterms were awful... I guess he's really smart so he can't understand what and why are we confused about.

i really didn't have as hard of a time with this guy as a lot of other people seem to, i just found him to be very awkward. he did seem to make an effort to take and answer questions, but it was a very large class and i guess he felt he had to move on. not a great explainer but read the book, do the hw, you will be ok. i barely went and got an A-.

This guy is awful. You don't have to go to class because the stuff he teaches in class are not on the tests. You have to teach yourself everything. Go to the TA sessions because no one can understand this man. Awful teacher

If you have taken calculus in high school and register for this class you will be all set. Extremely boring class, didn't buy the textbook, went to class once a week, passed with an A. Buy the online version of the book and you will be all set. But if you need to actually learn from him, choose another teacher.

Never bought the textbook, homework is online. Horrible handwriting, difficult to understand, review sessions are useless, unless you go to the SI tutor's reviews. Going to discussion also helped. Midterms are brutal, except the symbolics test, which was a breeze. More of a self-taught class.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! He acts like you are a brilliant mathematician that knows everything at calculus. He stands in front of the work he does on the board so you can't see until he moves onto another problem. He has no clue what is going on, ever. The only way I'm passing right now is because i went to the midterm reviews and tutoring sessions.

Horrible teacher, has terrible handwriting, is always late to class, doesn't know how to use the homework website. Teaches the wrong material so don't be surprised if when you take an exam you don't recognize any of the material.

I strongly recommend avoiding taking a class with this professor. Exams are very long and difficult (hand written by him). Had a 3 and a half hour midterm on a Sunday. Notes in class are an absolute mess. Tough to get notes because he stands in front of what he is writing.

Thinks he knows what he is teaching but in reality the students don't get it and he gets frustrated and complain about them not "listening". Makes impossible exams even after failing to teach his class properly. Avoid him at all costs!

He is a terrible professor for average students. He does not simplify or break down concepts. He tries to teach his students as if they all had his masterful mindset for math. He unintentionally blocks the board often. It's baffling how a veteran professor would not have this basic presentation skill. He is willing to help students learn though.

Terrible Teacher. Decides to teach the last section first just for fun. The only way to keep afloat in this class is to attend another class with a real teacher. The only helpful thing he does is let you use your notes on the tests
