I took her online Eng 206 class and it was a breeze! We were graded by discussion posts; 9 posts spread out throughout the semester. She only assigned 2 rather small essays; 1 essay test and 1 final essay. She grades rather leniently and gives helpful feedback when necessary! I used the textbooks but the pieces can be found online!

English 299 Special Topics in English with Barbra Allen is an easy A, a filler class. I took this class because of my love for English. This was a gruelingly abysmal journey into WW1. This was in no way a creative writing class, history class at best. WW1 was the only topic for the duration of the semester.

She was really good at what she does. She tells you ahead of time when essays are due and will push it back if she thinks the class isn't ready. She will gladly set up appointments for you anytime. Going to her for review on essays helps your grade tremendously. Good idea to have

Such a good teacher! Don't give her attitude or you'll regret it the rest of the semester. She likes people who put forth effort even if they struggle with their writing. Make sure you go to at least one of the classes for paper editing as it will help your grade A LOT! Turn all of your essays in..if you skip one you will fail the class

Going to class was completely useless, I would take this course online if you've written ANY kind of paper in the past decade. Longest essay was 5 pages and topics were interesting enough. Quizzes were short as well as the required readings. Had no problems myself but heard from older students(those b4 the time of MLA)that they were unhappy.

I took this class in the summer online and Ms. Allen was awesome. She is very involved and helpful. If you keep up with the readings and post your discussions you will do fine. The work load is very reasonable. The papers you have to write aren't bad either. I would totally recommend her to anyone who needs ENG 101 online. Great class!!

The exam format has changed 3 times, including two days before the exam. She refuses to yield to logic or reason. For the first time in my life I have 0% respect for a professor. She seems unsure of the material, unsure of the correct answer, unsure of herself. Avoid this professor! I hope Trident downsizes the faculty, by one!
