She can be unconventional and it helps to be self motivated in this class. However, if you ever need help she will absolutely help and never treats any question as stupid. She took some getting used to, but it was not a problem getting a good grade with her as a professor.

She is a great teacher! Everyone in my class looked her up on this site and were sceptic. By the end of the semester everyone is glad they took her. If you do the home work and understand it you should get and A. No excuses.

Tough grader, burst out in song, loves the classic rock. she splits class into groups with cards, shes real fond of singing a song that has ur name in it. at first very intimidating but it wears off around half way through the semester.

She is a horrible teacher and when I asked for help she Didn't help at all and felt like she was talking in circles making no sense. I did not find her helpful at all. Calculous on excel is ridiculous. I truly hate this class and the teacher. She randomly bursts out into song and is distracting not even funny. Don't take her.

Find her elementary tactics insulting. Spends more time with her playing cards splitting the fifty minute class into groups than she does teaching. Has a strong knowledge of the material and is tough with grading, bubbly personality that many, myself included, find annoying

She does expect you to know the previous semesters material, which is very understandable but will go over the material to help. Extremely helpful and enthusiastic, makes the class enjoyable however, the material can still be difficult to understand, and she knows that. Class is taught with applns. Wish I had her next semester! Excellent professor.

Great teacher and person. Very helpful, but expects one to know pre-requisite material (including high school) well, which is not unreasonable as some cry here. Won't let anyone use anything better than TI84 in tests. Makes you reason and try new approaches to a problem. I wish she was my teacher next semester.

My experience with Cavalieri was an excellent one. I'd had tremendous difficulty just looking at the material before I took her class, but she made pre-calc a walk in the park. Light-hearted, amusing, and brilliant, she makes for a delightful teacher. If you have no sense of humor, though, you'll quickly end up frustrated. Not for the weak-minded.

Great person, HORRIBLE teacher. Expects everyone going into the class to already know the material. Doesnt give much help when asked and at a math level this high, I needed a lot of help. Dont miss a class bc so much info is covered you will feel lost the next day. ONly take her if math comes easy to you and you want to spend hours on it a day

i got a personal tutor she couldent even help me... i m in the math lab teaching myself. the book is a joke and you cant sell it back, she expects you to know the material before you enter class and when you ask her for help or to repeat sumthin, she gives you a nasty look. i wish someone woulda told me... dont take her,save yerself

She is a fairly good teacher. Her explanations are clear. She always answers any questions at the beginning of class, which is what I believe is the most important quality of a math teacher. However, I like math and did not fall behind, so I cannot speak for those who did. My best advice: Don't fall behind.

what a terrible teacher. this woman is out of her mind. gives an attitude when you ask her to explain herself for a 2nd time. you can't miss a class. i missed 1 & had a doctor's note but told "i don't want that" w/ an attitude. needless to say, the material is hard to grasp and she doesn't make it any easier. we only had 7 people left @end of sem.
