This was the first time she taught 294, and she didnt know how to teach it. She is confusing (because she did not abide by her syllabus nor did she tell us assignment due datesexplain projects). She gives a TON of assignments, but when she actually gets them back you get really good feedback. She is 100% willing to help you if you ask

Comment:

Her War+Propaganda class is fairly interesting but somewhat repetitive. We didn't use one of the books at all which was annoying as it was like $30. She can't use technology and babbles on forever. The group presentation was a joke! Rewrites make it impossible to get less than an A unless you're lazy. Reading selections have to be skimmed at most

Agree w/ comment below. It is a pain in the ass for the first few weeks, with assignments due every class. After spring break it is really a breeze tho. Plus you get to rewrite every single assignment! This makes it impossible not to get an A, as long as you're not a lazy person and don't rewrite essays for the A! Very nice and helpful lady!

Lets you rewrite every assignment as many times as you want. Not a horrible grader, but kind of tough. If you put the time in, you can easily get an A. Would take this class with the revision possibilities over any other english class... nice lady, alot of work in beg of semester, and gets easier as you go along...

I took Prof. Lutz for Waging War and I absolutely loved both her and the class. She is clear, helpful, and a very fair grader. She also encourages class discussions and debates. Topics for papers are interesting, rewrites are allowed. She is very approachable and will meet with you anytime. I highly recommend.

She's great! Professor Lutz is very knowledgable about tutoring middle school as she previously taught middle school English, and is very helpful! She accepted rewrites as your final grade (big fan of revision!!) for an assignment, and was always willing to answer questions and assist with problems.
