If you read the book, that is her slides so class is not necessary but make an effort to show up once in a while to make her happy. She's very passionate about discussing solutions to racism and family issues by the way, so answer your midterm based off of her philosophy of it all

Comment:

Reads off slides from the textbook, can't take good notes, is not friendly, the class is a waste of time, didn't buy the textbook and did good - but she will test you on specific statistics. Emailed her for help a couple of times and all she will tell you is "refer to the syllabus" - overall awful professor. Seems nice outside of teaching.

Very nice but TERRIBLE prof. Never leaves slides on long enough for you to get down notes that make any sense. Class is honestly waste of time you learn more from reading the book and taking notes yourself. Against technology so nothing is posted online for you to refer to later if you missed a class or notes which is bond to happen

Dr. Barbara Moore cares a lot about her students, she is very understanding and kind. Although her lectures are boring you learn a lot from them. She is also a very easy marker! Trying to understand her is difficult at times but that doesnt make her a bad prof! I would take this class again for sure!!

Barb is for real extremely difficult to listen to. For at least half the class she's rambling. She's sweet and you can tell she really wants you to participate, but she is not a great prof. The class is easy though as long as you get the gist of what she's saying.

Lectures are boring. Sometimes she gives inaccurate information and her opinions are very liberal. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing; her lectures just come across as heavily biased . However, she is a very easy marker. The textbook is next to unnecessary as highlights from the text show up on the lecture slides.

Is only nice, and will only help you if you agree with her views. I agree with many of her opinions, but it's troubling when a professor cannot separate fact from their own personal convictions. Class is pointless. She either rambles, you watch a video from the 80's, or you're placed into groups to answer questions. Tests ask for specific data.

Professor Moore is very kind to her students. She also gives a lot of freedom with assignments so that students can develop their interests through writing. The classes are always interesting and she does an excellent job at relating material to everyday life and the student's life experience. She is very knowledgeable and there for her students.

Sometimes she just pulls facts out of thin air and they're wrong. She's so easy though. She'll give you an extension for everything and anything.

Fairly easy course, but be advised Professor Moore is quite liberal. She tends to read off of the textbook-supplied powerpoint and carries on with her own narrative, which can be quite extreme-left. I've been quite frustrated on many an occasion with her anti-Government and anti-Police rants, which can be quite one-sided and at times, inaccurate.

This class is perfect if you are overloading, she is very clear about what she wants, and if done correctly you will get really high marks. I liked the movies and class discussions, better than just sitting there taking notes!

MOST BORING PROF EVER! This course is pretty easy but it is the biggest waste of time if you are hoping to be taught anything. Prof Moore just rambles on as everyone talks on MSN for the entire class. Take it for an easy A but don't bother showing up.
