Baldwin was a different and fun prof! His assignments were usually short/sweet--and he had open book exams! What more can u ask for? I found him to be a fair marker. He has fun in his class, as long as u fain interest and go along for the ride, you'll have fun too. I had him two years ago for an intro course and he still remembers me. Great guy!

Historical seminar was a complete waste of time that even the hist dept nuke it. Too bad that didn't get rid of it while i was there. Baldwin started out nice but once u disagreed with him on his class and straight out said it was a waste time; he was very unfair and than including his marking of you. He can dish the**** but can't handle it back.

This prof has a great rep for being fun. Be warned: if he decides not to like you, you will suffer for the rest of the term. Despite having straight A's in 3rd year courses I almost failed this simple 1st year course. There was nothing I could do that would please him. My work was fine, he was not.

I get the biggest kick out of him. I love how he dresses up in uniforms for class, he obviously digs his job. He's not too helpful one-on-one, but the class isn't that hard, and he keeps us at attention. I've never had a problem with him.

I basically took history for it looks good to get into education. But he has gained my interest and it is actually my favorite course. He is an extremely hard marker, but he has the right to be for if you go to all his classes and take notes you should do extremely well.

Funny, bordering on insane. Fairly hard marker on papers, but tests are open-book and dirt easy (our final had a crossword that we had already done). Does play favourites, although as I somehow got into his good books I'm not complaining. You could certainly do worse than Baldy for Can. Hist.

Baldwin is definitely a very entertaining prof. I enjoyed his lectures. He doesn't rely on power points, so definitely a plus. If you need help, ask for it! I loved his class, and I'm taking two classes of his next year!
