If you aren't putting her words directly into your assignment, she doesn't like it. Don't try to be charismatic or have original ideas. She will have no problem critically tearing your assignments to shreds, no matter how good they are or how much work you clearly put into it.

I wouldn't recommend taking her classes if you can avoid it. She's a nice person, but a bad teacher. Her classes are dull and her grading is really strange. If you have to take a class with her, you will be fine. BUT IF YOU CAN AVOID IT... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO.

a good teacher for people who already have an interest in the topic. i wish she was a little more clear in what she wanted in a paper, but she always answered questions. If you're slugging through gen eds, she won't inspire you. but she will push you to be a better student.

Tough grader...but no reason not to pass her class..unless you are really bad. She provides tons of feedback (not a lot of profs do this) and is extremely helpful. She makes you earn your grade, and is very easy to work with. She actually cares about student outcome. One of the best at SAU actually.

I took the first ONLINE offered section of this class. I loved it, she gave extensive comments on work and allowed revisions on all assignments. Quizzes/Exercises are straightforward. She is very easy to work with, gave me extensions for valid reasons.
