She is such a great teacher, probably the most informative one i've ever had at CSUF. The amazing thing about her is that almost every country she lectures about she has been there and has some type of story to tell. Take her if u take this course...AND DONT BUY THE BOOK...IT'S NOT NEEDED!!!

she is very nice and she makes the class fun.. books are not needed i didnt buy it and did not need it..we have 4 tests including the final which is not comprehensive and a movie writing assignment.. she doesnt count attendance but the tests are ALL on notes so go to class and take notes she lets you use 1page of notes on the test and final

she was sick for over a month. we didn't have class. but she dealt with this in a reasonable way so we weren't overwhelmed for the final. i actually got an A. the best way to approach the class is to go to every class and take copious notes. the tests will only cover what is mentioned in class! no book needed.

Very nice teacher. Has been to most places she taught about which made it more interesting. Showed some pictures she took in those places. Tests were easy, if you go to class you don't need to study. Only bad thing is there are a lot of notes. The term paper she grades super easy. You learn a lot from this class.

very nice teacher, she had actually been to the places she talked about in class, so she can tell us the first-hand information, never took roll, tests are all multiple choice questions, only have to do 1 essay, overall, you can learn a lot from her class

She gives three multiple choice tests and one movie review. You are allowed one page of notes and a map for each test. Her lectures are very interesting and her slide shows are a nice touch. She has visited every place she talks about and has a lot of interesting stories. She is a very nice lady and I would definitely recommend her class.

She is so nice. You can bring one page note and map in every test. Total: 3 tests and one essay only. very easy class. The only bad thing is "it's dark during the class" because of slide/ ppt lecture. Anyway, easy to pass. You can get a good grade if you study.

Easy class, lecs were not bad, you get to use all the notes you need on the exams and if you directly quote her in your notes you will find her tests are super easy! One of the best lec teachers I've had. Made me want to travel more.

Comment:

Do not take this class if you do not have to. She has little or not class interaction. Lectures are in the dark: she turns off the lights of the class to lecture with her slideshows. She gives a guide and you fill in the data during the lecture. There are way better classes that are more interesting and fun than this class. Although exams are open notes, there is so much you can put on back of a sheet of paper. She asks alot of questions on the exams (about 70 ques per test-multiple guess)

You get to use a page of notes for the test, but they are so hard that they dont help much. Remember what she tells you about specific cities. Tough grader on the essay. Fulfilled all her requirements and still only got 80%. Be prepared to study hard without the payoff.

She is nice and knowledgable of geography but her tests are really hard since you get to use notes. There is a paper, but it is really tough to get a good grade on it. It doesn't make sense that I got better grades on my English papers than on one movie analysis.

WARNING: DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!! This was definitely my worst experience at CSUF so far! HORRIBLE TEACHER and HORRIBLE STYLE!!! The Tests are so hard and so unfair. These tests seriously do not represent anything covered in the lectures. TERRIBLE!!!

Her lectures are interesting, putting up slides that the pictures she actually took while traveling to those contries. Exams are not hard, but you have to study and cover most of her lecture so you don't have to buy a book. One movie log to write.
