Professor Taylor is AMAZING! This was a winter course I decided to take last minute. It was such a fast paced class but the lectures he provides and the material is so interesting. I am not a reader but I was impressed on how I was able to do all readings steadily. He is very knowledgeable in the subject. I 100 %recommend him.

I took his online GEOG 100 course and he is very good about communicating with the class. He sends out frequent emails to let you know about what is going on and what the plan for the class is. His quizzes are unlimited attempts but his midterm and final are in-person.

I took Geography of Illicit Drugs online and it was great! Changed my viewpoint on the topic. There is a lot of reading in the class, but the exams are easy enough. There are graded essays but it is mostly opinion based. The "virtual field trip" was super interesting too! No textbook needed as he posts the content online.

I took his Geog 353 online class and it was really thought provoking. There is quite a bit of reading and the discussions are normally YOUR opinion and why you believe that is such. Would absolutely recommend this class to anyone who is interested or need a GE.

The class can be a challenege, but the professor works with students and answers questions in a timely manner. He is very helpful, and if he sees that you're trying he will help you. Although I didn't do great on his exams he still helped me pass the class. I will forever be greatful for professors like him!

There are weekly quizzes, but they aren't all required to be done until the end of the semester and you can take them as many times as you need. There were two online short answer discussions. The only tests were the midterm and the final. Fairly easy class if you don't let yourself fall behind.

He enjoys teaching the topic and it shows! His lectures are well organized and clear. It was a 3 hour class but it was so interesting that I didn't even notice. If you attend class and DO THE READINGS this class is so worth it. A real eye opener and I hope CSUF offers more classes like this in the future.

This was a great class in which I learned a lot of stuff I would have never known before this class that really interested me. I think all college students should take this class to be educated on drugs, how it affects the world, and the history of drugs. I would really recommend taking this class because the assignments will interest you.

This class completely changed my views on the political and socioeconomic relation between drugs, society, government and policy. Although his class does require a lot of reading, it is really interesting stuff and is truly educational. Would definitely take Professor Taylor again.

I have had Taylor now for 3 separate courses. Jonathon Taylor is different, quiet and conservative, yet can be awe inspiring. Down to earth and understanding, cares about teaching the students more than turning in assignments on time. Liberal and fearless. Beyond the professor, an absolutely brilliant amazing man. Awesome Adviser, comfy couch.

This class was one of the most interesting, informative, and entertaining that I have taken thus far. Dr. Taylor is an awesome professor! He makes every topic (as weird as some of they are :-)) interesting by showing relevant documentaries and videos that help support the material. I would totally recommend this class!

Incredibly unique class. Seminar format with fairly large, but very interesting readings each week. Students lead the discussion with Taylor chiming in with amazing anecdotes. 3 short papers with a longer final paper at the end all of which can be very opinion based. Best part is the fluidity of the class since the subject matter is so ethereal.

GEOG 456- The Geography of the Future is an interesting class, I did not expect to take anything like it. It is more opinion based, but very informative as well. In my opinion, it is a good class for any major. Professor Taylor is a great instructor! Keep in mind these three things for this class: Attendance, participation, and papers. Good Luck!

Do yourself a favor and take this class,It will open your eyes and your mind. I knew it was going to be interesting, I didn't know it would be a life changer. Everything I thought I knew about the "drug war" and illegal drugs in general was just the tip of the iceberg. Also,Professor Jonathan is beyond clear/helpful and promptly responds to emails.

Awesome class! Highly recommend to anyone remotely interested in the intersection of drug policy and drug use in the US and globally. Warning: there is a lot of reading but its not dry, textbook reading. The videos are awesome! Assignments are on par to what is discussed. Professor provides open forum for understanding the role of US in drug policy

Great class, took it over summer so the course load was a little heavy but more than manageable. Prof. Taylor is extremely helpful and engaging and teaches a very good class. No textbook to buy which is a huge plus and a lot of really interesting readings and powerpoint/pdf lectures.
