It's a shame this professor has gotten such bad ratings on here. As an up to date review: I feel that he is very involved with students. Although he may take a while to respond to questions, he has always gone out of his way to make sure that everyone is understanding concepts in class, and doing well in school as a whole. great guy

I liked the prof. Took time to meet with all of us outside of regular class to go over recording stuff in the studio. Only a few of us showed up. The others just complained all of the time about not getting into the studios.

He always helped me with questions and had good answers. Was always interested and excited about class. The seniors had a bad experience with an adjunct and seemed to blame it on him, so I feel badly for him. I had a great time and learned a lot.

The comments below don't reflect the majority of the senior class. The rock stars just wanted to hang in the studio. Vopecilli was cool...but taught 1 class, once a week, at night, and just got to play with recording...so I don't compare him to Hill.

Listen, it is not that he doesn't know anything about recording. He obviously does. But when you are with him for four years, you realize that he has his own agenda. Maybe now that he is a doctor he is fine, but when he was getting his degree he was nothing but neglectfull and defensive. The man should not be teaching. Give me volpicelli anyday!!

I think he's been nothing but nice to me. He's always trying to get us interested in what we're doing in the Studio and everything. I'm sure people have bad experiences with him, but he's genuinely a nice guy and he know's his stuff. A lot of people in MRT here think they know everything already and that he knows nothing. HA.

Really one of the worst professors I've ever had. He's very insecure and realizes he's bad at teaching, so he gets very very defensive. Plus, he's doesnt act in a professional manner to any of his students.

Prof. Hill understands many things about recording/acoustice etc... What he doesn't understand is how to teach effectively. Hill always takes the blame off of himself. The man never does anything wrong and he has alreaady thought of everyone's "new" ideas. He is just frustrating to deal with when anything goes wrong.

Wow, I'm done with all my MRT course and I couldn't hate this man more. If you want to talk about roller coasters, hill's your guy... however, anything music recording related, just open the book (not the one he wrote) I wish I saved my money and went somewhere else, thanks for nothing DOCTOR.....

Some one with no technical experience should not be aloud to teach a technical class. he can't answer questions and is quite incompetant. but hey, at least he has read a lot of books on how to record music. In my opinion he's very unhelpful and unfriendly
