Great. Notes online are pretty thorough, and stick very closely to what the textbook goes over. Assignments were very long. Written parts very relevant to material, however found the programming was not really went over in class so was a challenge. But that's what you get in 3rd year CS class, no handholding. Extremely approachable and nice.

Comment:

Nice guy and pretty funny. Had him for 2080 last year and he was great there too. Knows the material well and does a good job of explaining it. Will never make you feel bad if you don't know something. There is a LOT of info in this class and unfortunately quite a bit of fact memorization, but his notes and examples are both extremely helpful.

Extremely amazing professor. Know his stuff when it comes to the content and makes it extremely understandable. Makes very clear and tolerable assignments while keeping the content focused upon. Very rigourous in his explanations (which is very appreciated since Computer Science requires such rigour in demonstration)

Excellent prof. Really great, and I wouldn't really expect that from such a young guy. He explains stuff super clearly, and he's pretty easy when it comes to marking to exams. And I don't think he goes too fast either, when he's writing on the overhead. Another thing is that he's very approachable. He'll make time for you. :)

Dr. Li is an exceptional teacher, well prepaired, organized, has a style that facilitates taking great notes. Has clear explanations....and if it wasn't for the part marks I would never have passed his course...how he understood where I was going with some of my proofs...i do not know.

The best prof in u of Manitoba. He gives good notes and clear explanation. He makes sure that all his students understand and I think his notes are even better than the textbook. I would rather read his notes. Overall, he knows the course well and had good preparation before tha class.

I disagree with the person who complained that Dr. Li gives too much notes. I believe this person is just too lazy to write everything down. While in class, you can choose to write down as much or as little as you want. I like that Dr. Li gives us more notes than not enough! Excellent prof!

Absolutely amazing professor. His examples and notes are clear, he's very well prepared, he answers all questions very well, and his tests are well done and straightforward. The best math prof (and teacher, for that matter), I've ever had. Can't recommend enough.
