Great teacher, pretty much tells you what's on the test. Make sure to take notes and to write down everything he writes on the board. It's not hard to get a good grade in this class but you won't pass if you don't do any work.

Love this guy. He obviously knows what he is talking about, but makes it interesting by adding his personal stories and commentary, which can be hysterically funny. Tests are a bit hard, but just do the work and you will be fine. Tells you exactly what to study for prior to each exam, which are mult/choice and essay. Overall, fun class.

Class was extremely interesting! i think everyone should take it if they have the chance and Kline is HILARIOUS. His tests are kind of difficult because he really does test you on the who, what, where, when but he curves the entire class to your benefit. I had a B going into the final and received an A which i was surprised about :)

His textbook questions are a little off. However, his lectures are excellent; because he loves to kill time, he makes us watch movies (which you have to write an outline for points). If you don't show up every day to class, don't take him. Otherwise, you will do just fine.

Took 105A and B. Great teacher, would highly recommend. The tests are on a curve and he gives you the essay questions ahead of time. The text book is often times confusing. However, Dr. Kline's lectures really help and prepare you well for the tests.

Dr Kline is an excellent History Professor. He has a real world view and is fact and detail oriented. He clearly explains concepts and test expectations. Great sense of humor and very interesting lectures.

His classes are interesting, but the tests are very hard. Little reading so he tends to ask off the wall questions from the book. There is no homework, but a 6 page paper is due and the class watches movies for credit in class, so you must attend all classed to get full credit.

The man is PHENOMINAL. He teaches more about stuff you wouldn't normally hear from other historians and relates it VERY well to his students. You will WANT to come to class every time just to hear what hilarious comment he'll say next!

Great teacher! His grading curve benefits all students. I took 5 classes with him because he is very good at what he does. He is also entertaining and easy to follow. If you don't get a good grade in his class, something is wrong with you.

The best History teacher I had when I was at SJSU. He is the reason I became a high school history teacher myself. He is very entertaining, yet informative at the same time. I HIGHLY recommend him.
