Got Gallagher as a Professor after coming out of a crappy time with English in high school. He took interest in his students, gave feedback in reasonable time and manner, and would work with students who had questions or issues. Great guy, Great teacher.

Comment:

Great professor who really knows what he is talking about. Loves to assign multiple books per semester but let's students choose which to do a book report on. Extremely helpful, but also very specific about students meeting the criteria assigned via syllabi. Have taken 2 classes with him, and will likely take another before I graduate!

Doc is a great professor. He is tough, and you have to work for your grade. If you are lazy, do not take his class. He assigns a lot of tedious work, but you will be grateful for it at the end of the semester. He is pretty clear cut with his grading methods, and will work with you if you are having trouble. I'll be taking him again for 1002.

Can't say enough about how much I've enjoyed this class. I'm taking him again for 1002. If you're lazy and don't want to learn, don't take his classes.

I really enjoyed this course and I learned alot from Professor Gallagher. His paper topics are interesting and I think that if you go to class and actually understand the grading appendix and writing prompt you should do perfectly fine on all of the assignments.

I absolutely love this teacher! In fact if he was teaching ENGL 1002 this year I would take him again! He can be a great friend to his students and that can really help your grades in the long run. He is very creative and wants his students to be also. He can be tough on tests but as long as you do the work and attend, you'll pass his class!

This professor is a blithering idiot who constantly flits from one tangent to another. I knew his scatterbrained energy would not bode well for my test grades. You are not graded on how correct or thorough your answers are, only how altruistic you are to other students and how often you bat your eyelashes his way.

Doc is a great teacher. He does wax poetic at times, and he likes to get you to look into the human condition, but he did start out as a psych major. He is a caring man who sincerely wants you to do well. I had his class during a very rough spot in life,and he proved to be a mentor to me. Talked me out of nursing and into English as major. :)
