I actually studied with Professor Rouse many years ago to get credit for math to enter PT school. He was probably the best math teacher I ever had. I was a re-entering adult with former academic background, and hadn't' taken math in perhaps 20 years. Professor Rouse made it possible for me to achieve the grades I needed for PT school success.

Comment:

Great person but his teaching isn't for everyone (including the majority of our class). He skips over a lot of material and expects you to learn most of it on your own. Exams: Lowest grade gets dropped and 2nd lowest is replaced with an extra credit packet. Practice tests somewhat mirrors the exams but I wouldn't rely on it to get a good grade.

This class is heavy. It is a combined 6 unit class of Algebra and Stats. Be prepared to do the work. Do not slack or you will easily fall behind. Attendance is not mandatory but highly recommended. Homework is not collected. The grading is based off of 5 exams. He drops the lowest grade and offers extra credit to drop your second lowest score.

Guys believe me, if you are about to take pre cal, this your teacher. answers all your questions, great lectures, down to earth, tests are not hard. Here comes the most amazing part, there is literally no homework. He does gives you a questionnaire, but thats for our own practice.

His class was extremely boring, his teaching methods not good. He moves in a fast pace teaching, but we are there to learn step by step. Gives homework everyday, lots of questions on test. People sitting around you have different tests. Nice guy, but I don't recommend this professor if math is really tough for you.

Goes to slow and class and we end up missing the entire section. Does not teach well and it is very hard to get an A in his class. Homework is not mandatory but it is essential to do, even to get a B in his class. If you want an easy A, don't take him.

Best math teacher I've ever had. Lectures are clear and concise. He can actually explain concepts in a way that you can understand! Don't go to the math lab, ask him for help. He can explain things MUCH better than the math lab tutors. Just remember to always do the practice exams and ask him for anything you don't understand; you'll be fine.

The teacher is very good at explaining. He gives out practice problems for homework but it is not graded you should still do them for practice. Your grade depends on your test but he drops the lowest one and you can replace your second lowest test grade with an extra credit assignment.

BEST TEACHER! He's really chill, attendance is not mandatory, and knows what he's talking about. Class is kinda boring cause he has a monotone voice but doesn't care if your on your devices in class. I definitely didn't deserve an A but got it anyways.. the only regret is buying the text cause u barely use it

I thought I got a C in that class but I ended up with an A for some reason. I got an F on tests & several C's.. Prof. Rouse gives you an extra credit opportunity to make up a test as well as a drop on one. He's nice but his class is sort of boring (I was always on my phone), but follow the pre-tests and your fine. Only regret is buying the textbook

he's awesome! explains everything thoroughly. His tests are similar to the practice quizzes given. No surprises. Drops the lowest test score out of 5 tests & if you need more tests to make up he gives up a HW at the end of the semester to replace your 2nd lowest test score. Does not collect HW. Great teacher for Intermediate Math (math 203)

He is such a kind and caring professor, one that knows his stuff about calculus. I would highly recommend taking him. I took him for two semesters and got As. You have to put work in though, but it's achievable.

Very nice professor, go to class, do the homework (that he doesn't collect), do the study guides and it should be the key to success in his class. I did however do none of those, and failed most of the tests miserable, i got a C in the class which was weird cause I'm sure i failed the class.

This is the best Calculus Professor i have ever come across and soon,u will also realize when u take his class.He gives time for his students and is a very understanding person. I really love his way of teaching Calculus. Over all i grade him 100/100 teaching. I have not found any drawback in this professor.

Mr. Rouse is a nice and caring teacher who I think has been doing it for years. Super sweet man who cares for his students. Lectures are a bit confusing at times. ADVICE: review and understand the chapter BEFORE his lectures. He does not collect homewrk so it's VERY EASY to fall behind. If you have discipline, this is the professor for you!!;)

He's a very good professor but he has a super monotonous voice and will bore you to death in a 2 1/2 hour lecture. He is good at explantion and gives out study guides almost identical to exam. He gives out extra credit. Does not collect homework.
