I absolutely loved Bernie as a prof. He's hilarious which helps keep the lecture entertaining since the material isn't always that interesting. His tests are quite heavy but he's very helpful if you go see him in his office. Know your stuff and you'll do great in his class! He definitely sparked an interested in microbiology I didn't know I had.

Bernie is fantastic. He's hilarious and really keeps you interested even though the material can be pretty dry. He explains things in a way that makes hard concepts easy to understand so it's a good idea to not miss class. He only has 2 tests and a final exam so his tests are pretty hard. You really have to know your stuff in order to do well.

Bernie is a really nice guy and very funny but his tests are just ridiculous. He expects you to remember word for word. Takes points off for very silly things. Attendance isn't required because he posts all of the power points.

Bernie is by far my favourite instructor at CBU. He makes class very enjoyable and funny, and is always available if you need help or if you simply just want to talk. His tests can be tough, but they are definitely fair. If you actually pay attention in class and study you will do great!

Awesome prof! Highly recommend! I had him for mirco and it was my fav course. He knows his stuff and teaches it in an easy and interesting manner. He talks to the students as if they're friends, not at all condescending. Very helpful when you have questions. Exams are long but he grades fair, just pay attention to detail!
