Comment:

Easy class. The midterm was a breeze. The teacher wrote on the chalkboard every class. The prof gave us practice exams and he answered every questions I had for the homeworks. Hes a good teacher because the exams reflected everything we learned. No surprise.

Comment:

He's a great prof, but you can't skip class because he writes the notes on the chalkboard. There are a few written homework assignments that get confusing because some are from the textbook, so make use of the Stats Help Centre. The midterm was blessed because it was all multiple choice and represented the homework and examples done in class a lot.

He pays attention to the students and makes sure that they understand everything. Not an easy class but if you attend every lectures, you'll be okay

The level of difficulty varies based on how much work you put into the class and practice question. Everything is clearing done in practice question and you will be able to tell what will come on the test.

The class isn't really difficult. What you see in class is what you get on the exam ! And the assignments aren't that hard!

Comment:

All semester long, you have no idea whats going on in class because his examples are very long and very elaborated (many proofs) but the homework is a lot more simple. Grading wise, you are penalized heavy for small mistakes. Overall, he's always available for office hours and its still a decent class.

Great prof! He gives good explanations. Exams reflect what we see in class. Homeworks are easy most of the time and he only corrects some part. Exams are not graded on many points, so a simple error costs you a lot. In general, he's really nice, fair and his door is always open!

Explains the material really well. Don't skip the lectures because there's no pdf or powerpoint, and trust me if you do you'll regret it. The exams were fair, and if you're not rigorous, you'll lose marks. Only counts the best 4 assignments out of 7.

This course was a confusing mess. No clear structure. He kept claiming his exams and homework were super easy even though they were the hardest I've had in university (for example, we were missing some basic info like r commands).

Great prof who knows his stuff and how to explain it. He makes his exams pretty easy if you practice beforehand. Would recommend this prof over the English sections! Counted only 4/6 homeworks for a better grade

He doesn't post any of the class notes or the DGDs online. You have to show up to every class to take notes. The stuff on the midterms reflect the course content but the final exam is extremely difficult. He is a pretty harsh grader and takes off a lot of points for small mistakes.

Notes are all taking by hand in class. He write down stuff on the chalk board and you copy the old fashion way! :) He tries to be funny, and kind of is. I had a class 7-10 and we would always finish at 9. :)

Un bon professeur, ses exemples en classe sont si précis et pertinents que le livre est vraiment inutile. Formule pour une excellente note: faire les devoirs avec les exemples vus en classe, refaire les exemples et faire les examens de pratique. Par contre, l'examen final a été plus difficile que prévu, et les notes ont surement été majorées.

''Estc'que c'est clair?" is about all he said in class. Really good teacher! His exams are identical to his practice exams and he gives lot of examples in class. He doesn't care about simplifying your final answer which saved everyones grades! East A.

M. Mountassir is a great prof! Very calm whilst teaching but also very clear, he explains well, makes sure everyone understands and cracks cute little jokes here and there:) He's very very clear of what's on the midterms so there are no surprises, sweet man!

He has an accent that makes things a little difficult to understand but he knows his stuff! He answered any e-mail I sent. His writing got progressively smaller as the semester went on but it was nothing too bad if you sat at the front!

Comment:

Encourages students to ask questions in class, but acts annoyed and doesn't answer clearly if you do. Has a strong accent and mumbles so he's hard to understand. Boring class and must attend, but he'll make sure you pass with a good grade. His TA is very nice and helpful during the tutorials. Not easy but you'll do good if you work on your Devoirs.
