Comment:

RWS100 is just a general education class and I know when I talked to my friends who had other teachers none of them were having as much difficulty with their paper topics as I was. Dill can be very biased and traditional. It requires a lot of attention to details and being extremely good at right to do good in his class.

His lectures basically have nothing to do with the essays. If you actually put in effort in your essay, you will get a good grade, but just know you are pretty much on your own with them, considering he does not even talk about the prompts. However, when you get an essay back, you can fix it and give it back to him and he will regrade it.

The man is clearly very knowledgeable but his lectures made me feel like I was in a Philosophy or History class and seemed to go on forever. Did not learn anything about writing itself. Luckily I had some outside help for essay writing. He is always willing to help out students though if you have any questions and is a pretty fair grader.

He knows his stuff, very knowledgeable, in my opinion has an interesting sense of humor. There are a lot of texts to read. So keep up with the reading calender. No tests. Peer review days. VERY reasonable when grading essays. Will like you more if you participate in discussions and show up to class-- part of participation grade.

This definitely is a history class not a RWS class like I expected... He was not helpful and was honestly one of the worst professors I have ever had. Don't attend his classes because it is seriously pointless. Just do his assignments and essays to the best of your ability because you're on your own when it comes to writing them.

He is a very nice guy. However, his class is extremely boring I couldn't help but fall asleep every time (literally). Took over summer so it went by really fast. Attendance is not mandatory. Dill is a sweet man who just loves to talk. However, his rants will make you fall asleep. I rarely attended class. The papers were easy and the final was extremely easy too. I did not really learn much because I would practically fall asleep from boredom.

I'll be straight to the point. This is not an rws class, for I learned absolutely nothing about writing. Basically it's a history class where you feel every moment you're there.
