Very knowledgeable and current in the field. Her enthusiasm is contagious. Classes usually involve a lot of reading, and don't expect sympathy from her if you don't have something done on time. But if you show interest in the subject and doing well you shouldn't worry. Don't cross her though, she plays by the rules.

I'm currently in Dr. Ushers Professionalism course and I have been on a continuous downward spiral of disappointment. The class could have been structured a heck of a lot better, very cart before the horse approach. Her manners come off as very condescending especially if you don't plan on going to grad school, keep that to yourself.

i have had 2 classes with her so far and she is also my advisor, her tests may be tough but class is always interesting. as for those of you in her evolution class that don't like her the reason she has to teach that class is because you didn't learn what you needed to in high school... if you don't understand evolution by college you must be dumb

A very poor teacher, she talks down upon students and treats class as if it were a high school class. In my opinion, she should be teaching third grade. I was very interested in the class, but she just ruined it. There was alot of potential, but that went down the drain with this professor. I am very frusturated with her teaching methods.
