She seems to be an ok lady, but often says offensive things during class. She sits down while teaching. She never writes on the board or use any type of technology. The literature was pretty good. If you take her class be prepared for the mood swings.

Dr. Hart seems like an overall nice lady. However, the first class she asked us all if we were good writers and chastised those who said no. Having some confidence in my abilities I said yes and she has since torn apart every single one of my papers, i have gotten nothing above a c+ even though in all my classes before I have always gotten A's

I thought this class on Racism was going to be a white bashing class. It was the opposite, discussions were very fun, and she is very helpful. For all who need a Liberal Arts 497 to graduate take this class.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking Hart's class. She is a bit unprepared, but she makes every class interesting. It is very easy to achieve high grades on the papers, but I advise that you take your rough draft to her office for revision. I would definitely take her for another class.

The best thing about her class was that there wasn't a lot of work assigned. We had no tests over the reading assignments but would have to write a few short papers. It did seem like nearly all of her assigned readings were race related. She's very nice but not too helpful.

Dr. Hart is a wonderful teacher she gave us interesting reading material and has a wonderful way of getting a conversation flowing after a selection has been read. I would reccommend her class to anyone who wants to learn and be challenged.

She is hilarious. She jokes about everything and has no problem talking about beer or playing poker on friday nights. Her papers are generally easy and she grades pretty fair. As long as you make an effort you will do fine in the class and still gain quite a few laughs!

Her first impression is not very great. She is rude and turns everything into a race or gender issue. She seemed passionate. She likes theatre people. I would recommend her if Pease or Ron Mitchell's classes are closed. She has very scary ankles, also.

At first, I didn't like the class, but in the end, I loved it. Racism in America taught by Dr. Hart, really had a huge impact on my life. What I learned in that class I'll carry with me forever. Thank you Dr. Hart.

I found the course very interesting! The Feagin textbook was horrible but the Youngblood novel was excellent. You must keep up with your reading and be prepared to discuss the material in class on a daily basis. I wasn't pleased on how inconsistent she was on grading papers.
