Betty is a great teacher! Her tests are in essay format, but you are given a limited choice on what theories you write about, and so with a keen mind (and perhaps some luck), you may not need to study every theory that is on the exam. MC quiz worth 1% every week (just read, people). Lots of interesting zeitgeist info that leads to where we are now.

You can pretty much teach this course to yourself as long as you have the myers textbook but she's nice enough. Her tests are tough so don't be fooled by her demeanour. Course is overall interesting and nothing was glaringly wrong .

Expect to read and memorize the whole textbook for exams. As well weekly assignments from the textbook website which are boring and due by friday night. Boring and class is not interactive at all. I will never take a course with this professor again.

Graduating student -GPA over 4 - I have A's(A+'s) in the toughest courses at this school. I dropped this course because it was brutal. She tests MC weekly,but tests essay style for the midterms - requiring you to learn everything in a different way. During the weekly tests after you write them - you line up at the desk for marking just like grade 4

Honestly, I loved her course, and I found it to be really interesting. I think she is very approachable, and a good instructor over all. HOWEVER this is also THE most BRUTAL course I have ever taken. Go ahead and take her, but heed the warnings about the quizzes exams, They are all true. In addition, I thought the textbook she used was atrocious.

She makes this course way harder than it needs to be. Quizzes every class and three in class papers with a huge, complex question to write about. Her power point notes are completely useless. I completely taught myself through the text book. Alright material but her teaching methods are brutal.

Most brutal exams ever! She pretty much expects you to know every tiny detail about every little thing. Attendance is mandatory as she gives quizzes every class. The course itself was rather interesting, she just made it more difficult than it had to be.

She doesn't stick to lecture schedule. She has so much passion that she often rambles on and leaves you behind at least one chapter. Her exams suck. She always mentions that she tests on quotes, but never specifies which quotes. READ THE TEXTBOOK!! Her m/c is nothing but trivial stuff from the text! GOOD LUCK.

This is the second time having a class with Betty. Her lectures are slightly dry, but if you put your 100% in this class, you'll do well. It was obvious that some ppl were having a hard time with the material (as was I), but if you ask questions, she's there to help. Awesome prof!

I can not speak for her lectures, but I would NOT recommend taking her online class. Although she is very helpful via email, her grading methods are unfair and unnecessarily complex. She also seems to have something against evolutionary explanations in psychology, though her PhD dissertation was theologically related. I would not take her again.

Absolutely adorable! Her teaching methods are quite solid. Forces us to read the material for quizzes, which is very motivating. She keeps us interested and her midterms and finals are very straight forward. Just READ the material she tells u to read!

So if you like it when a teacher rambles on and writes jibberish on the board to attempt to relate to the lecture, you'll LOVE betty. This is the second time I've taken this course, WITH her, and she tells the same jokes, has her fake laughs, and favours students. Oh, and her notes don't relate to the textbook. Take my advise, don't take her.

Wonderful, delightful teacher. Class is a little dead but shes super nice & helpful. U can only pass if u read EVRYTHING though, slackers beware: u MUST read. weekly MC tests, midterm, final, NO projects tho :D highly recommended
