Make sure you do the reading because you will be asked about it in class. She does say she will give quizzes if she does not think the reading is getting done, but never gave our class any quizzes. Tests can be a little unclear, but she is a fair grader if you go to class and do the work. Very nice and a great professor.

Want to be treated with respect and challenged like a graduate student? TAKE ANY CLASS w/ Prof. Schneller. Demanding, but nice as can be and willing to offer plenty of support (go to office hours -- don't tackler her in the hall, it's her pet peeve). Anyone with a serious interest in English should take her classes. Can't say enough good about her.

The reading schedule can be a bit intense, but can be done. Class discussions are very interesting. The most difficult assignment was the major research paper. You definitely want to meet with her about this, and she is very willing to help. I would take her again.

she was hard, and lots of reading and quoted the MLA handbook like scripture. but she was fair. and if you went for help she helped you. when i had to leave school for a family emergency; she let me mail her the paper no questions asked. like most profs, if you go, make an effort, she'll be nice, if you blow off class, you're in trouble.

Middle of the road in difficulty--her tests are typical of English tests. Most will have to study to do well, but can probably pass while slacking, albeit with fears of failing at points. Incredibly kind and helpful, but you have to ask for help--otherwise, you won't get it. Good at getting students involved. Good person in general.

Found this prof to be difficult to approach in class with questions because she always answers in an edgy, "snarky" manner.Unfriendly in class...pleasant out-of-class.
