Comment:

If you want an easy pass/fail class to take care of your arts requirement, University Chorus is a good class to take. It's 3 days a week and there's a required rehearsal and performance at the end of the semester, but if you show up and sing you'll pass, even if you can't sing. Overall, this class was fun but Bev can be crazy at times.

I love Bev but her problem is that she is too disorganized. Here we are, nearly a month into the course and we hardly touched our most difficult pieces that we are supposed to perform by December! She spent 30 minutes taking attendance our last class, and concentrates on totally irrelevant things. Final Verdict: Frustrating for a serious musician.

The class was disorganized and sometimes frustrating but still fun. There's no reason you shouldn't pass this passfail class if you show up and do what she tells you to. Very little outside work and better than a class in which you sit in a desk and read a text book. Take it if you need a GAH and get the chance. Warning: Bev's a drama queen.

the class was disorganized, confusing. directions were too much and too quick for you to really catch onto. Not much of help. She's a very nice person, but that class was terrible. Way more difficult then is expected. if you're looking for an easy A in this class, think again. i would recommend not taking this course. RUN AWAY

Bev is the best teacher you could ever ask for. She makes you loosen up and have fun. Easiest class. Awesome teacher. Highly recommend!! Just don't show up late or talk back to her or you're singing My Little Tea Pot in front of everyone.

Bev was seriously so much fun! She's so funny and makes everything exciting! Sometimes she just lets you watch YouTube videos all class lol This class is a breeze. Take it even if you can't sing! It doesn't matter cause no one else can either! This class is what you make it! Respect her and she will respect you!

Bev is such a sweetheart. African American Music was so easy and I would definitely recommend. It was my first semester of school and I would show up a half hour late and never went to the two concerts we were supposed to go to and I still got an A! Just make sure you participate and guaranteed an A in this class. She even bought us KFC!

She was a spunky woman. There was never a boring moment in her class. Only bad thing was that she paid no attention to kids who followed orders and showed up on time and gave all of her positive attention to the kids who came late and should have failed. Everyone passed but it was frustrating to be a good student and feel inferior to slackers.

Was supposed to have choir with her with class starting in September. Every time I showed up for class she told me class wasn't starting yet but would start the following week. Finally 6 weeks in the semester she said class wasn't starting for another 2 weeks. I "failed" the class and was unable to get a refund even though it never actually started

Taking Class with Bev is like drinking a big old cup of coffee. She's alot of fun. She taught me alot about African American music. Be ready to stand up and dance or sing a little. I had a blast and wished I could take her again.

She's really easy, so if you need a GPA booster take anything of hers! Just don't expect to actually learn anything or for her to know what she's doing half the time: VERY scatter-brained! Also, don't disagree with her or you'll run the risk of being humiliated in front of everyone. A joke of a music professor, but fine enough for RSC, I guess.
