Professor Lewis is a great teacher for public speaking. He truly cares about his students and wants everyone to succeed. Not afraid to be critical of your topics, so be thick-skinned. Very engaging lectures and it's hard not to pitch in during class discussions.

The class lectures seemed like they would never end. While he asks for students to participate he usually only accepts comments that he likes. My grades weren't put in until after finals and feedback was usually illegible and vague. Assignments prompts and requirements were also vague. He's a nice guy, just not the most effective teacher.

Strokes his beard a lot. Most counted is 126 times in a class period. Nice guy terrible teacher. Really weird and when he elects students to "lead" a discussion he becomes a student and answers all the questions himself. its like a one man broadway show

Amazing professor! Lots of discussion-based classes, but if you participate and are genuinely interested in being in class he will do everything in his power to make sure you succeed. Ask for help, and he will be there!

He's a really nice guy, very enthusiastic, and really enjoys what he's doing. Some of his test are a bit hard, but he's a really easy grader on papers. The class discussions were relatively interesting, bu SOMETIMES the lectures were a bit boring

One enthusiastic guy; he will leap around in front of you, waving his arms and pontificating with great passion. His lectures go off into tangents that will not help with anything. He does not have a low self-esteem problem. Also, you usually will not discuss the stuff you have read until the day before the test or something.

Professor Lewis is a fantastic teacher. You can tell he is interested in what he teaches and that he loves his job. He's also a very nice person. Go talk to him in his office. He's always willing to listen to your concerns and questions.

I also had him for SCSR 24 and SCSR 142. He's an amazing teacher. Very understanding and tolerant. His classes are interesting and he has a lot to say. He's organized and has a way with words as well. TAKE HIS CLASSES!

Don't let the rating throw you. He is a pretty easy going guy and understanding. The class in and of itself had unclear and frustrating nature. He does not seek you out to help you. GO TO HIM! and then he is very helpful and patient. Take the time outside of the class to show him your interest.

He's my academic advisor so I am very familiar with this guy. Good teacher very understanding and genuinely interested in teaching well. Listens to all viewpoints tolerantly and patiently. Highly recommended.
