Professor William (Bill) has been one of the best Ive ever had. He understands that, only because you take an online class, dont need to be alone. He has a lot of resources to help you learn. He even offers study session to go over the any questions you may have prior to testing.

Currently Taking On-line Class. The workload: Read 2 chapters, 3 Presentations, and 3-5 videos per test- 8 tests - to get a "C", plus 4 short papers - to get a "B", and one 8 page paper required to obtain an "A". Time Management KEY! I would not attempt this class in the 8-9 week cycle! Prof. Montgomery is responsive, fair, helpful, and flexible!

Currently taking online. The workload is crushing. If this is your only class you might have time to make a B. He is also the author of both books you are REQUIRED to buy. AVOID this class! You can make a C if you take and pass all tests with a 100! To get a B you must write 4 more papers and an A requires an 8 page paper.

Currently taking his History class online & its a lot of reading & watching videos. But he gives you plenty of time before tests. He is probably the most understanding professor I have had in awhile. I've been dealing with some issues and fell behind & hes helped me to catch up instead of throwing his hands up. Always responds to emails quickly! <3

Too many tests! In the nine weeks I was in class I took a total of eight tests! Each test came with the 60 question short answer. Also, taking the test only got you a C you had to write a total of 4 papers for a B and a 10 page paper for an A. He also made you buy the text book that he wrote AND you had to buy the REVIEW QUESTIONS! Ridiculous!

first of all, required to buy his current text book and guide, does an video confrence weekly that few attend, the online exams are fairly simple with 2 chances to pass, in order to get an D, had to do all the tests plus write four papers on the subjects of the course and for an A, additional 10 page paper, over 40 hours of video- not reccommend

A BUNCH of tests (+14), so unless you enjoy taking at least 1 test every week, you're better off finding a teacher that does 2-3 tests the entire semester...

Best professor I've had to date! He's very present and accessible, caring and funny. There's lots of reading and tests but the tests are easy. The papers (for B or A) are easy as long as you follow the directions. Hosts webinars weekly and special ones for the papers! Can't wait to take him again for US History II.

Probably the best professor I've had at ACC throughout my five years at the school. He's extremely helpful and will go above and beyond for his students. I took both History 1 and 2 with him and got A's in both. People may complain that he gives lots of work, and all I have to say is welcome to college! He's really a one of a kind teacher. Take him

I took the 9 week online course. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST. He really is helpful and very there to help students but the workload was UNBEARABLE. Every test covers 2 chapters from his book and there's 1 to 2 test EVERY WEEK. That's ONLY for a C. Write a TWO B paper for a B AND 1 A paper for an A. STUDY HIS SYLLABUS.

Dr. Montgomery has a system he uses that combines the use of the textbook (written by him) combined with a workbook, online video chapters to watch, and "lecture" powerpoints to drive for a collaborative experience. Tests follow the guide exactly. He also conducts an online webinarvideo chat prior to each exam for final review

Took class online and only complaint is that there were 8 test, sometimes spaces 10 days apart. Found it difficult to fully study a unit and take a test in a short amount of time, BUT the test deadlines weren't set in stone. He gives the opportunity to retest each test once, as long as it's before the semester ends. Very helpful and understanding!

Great teacher! Even though the class was online he made sure to make me feel like I was in a small classroom setting and was always there to answer questions. He does an online tutorial before every test and it is the perfect place to get questions answered and material explained. Best online professor.

Had zero interest in history but was required. This class was ALOT of reading. Tests were easy. Right from book. I took the C grade only because I chose to not do the B papers. Great responsive professor, loved him. Actually learned a lot and changed my mind about history.

OK this class was not straight unicorns and Pixy dust like everyone is saying, there is a LOT of work. That said if you do the work you WILL pass but be prepared to study for a minimum 2 hours for each of the 8 test to get a C. Then you do 2-4 papers for a B then a 6 page, Chicago style research paper with 6+ sources. Still a good prof. Have fun :)

His class was very easy but you learned a lot from it. He has study guides for every test and goes over the study guide in a group chat. If you read the book and watch the videos, you will pass. He lets you re-take a test if you are not happy with your grade. But he does make you write a research paper for an A. Highly recommend!

I took his DIL course and learned more and appreciated history more than I thought I would. Prof is extremely helpful and wants you to do well in this course. You do have to understand the material, but his study guide and online lecture notes are very helpful and mirror what is on the test. Great professor.....highly recommended!

Took DIL and its easy. If you fill out study guide and study that, easy A. Use online lecture notes to answer study guide and participate in study sessions to make sure you study the right material. 8 tests, has assgnmts to boost low test grade. Paper req for A. Course is time consuming but great book, very interesting, and Bill is a great teacher
