Are you in school to actually learn something? Then O'Boyle is one of the best instructors to take. He has a wide range of classes, requires that you actually do work, and is a fair but real grader. He gives great feedback on any assignment that you put effort into. Hint: PROOFREAD!! Just looking for easy A's? Look elsewhere.

His teaching style is very bland. He gets off topic way too much and he gives unnecessary breaks during classes. His grading technique is unorganized and he doesn't post grades on Moodle to give students an idea of their average in the class. He repeats himself and gets off topic. Doesn't keep students informed about due dates or cancelled classes.

Mr. O'Boyle is a strict teacher. I was late due to my car not starting and he refused to let me turn in my paper he didnt even ask me for an explanation. But he tells me I can still pass his class with a C. He is a tough instructor you have been warned!!

I'm a former NCC student and am currently an English major at NC State. I'm graduating in May and I can honestly say that Mr. O'Boyle has a lot to do with that. He was the first teacher who ever told me that I had a "real gift" when it came to writing. He encouraged me to major in English and I'm so glad I took his advice. He's a great teacher!!

does little teaching on just talks as if you are already a expert at english. spends most of his time reading papers from past classes as examples. takes a lot of breaks that are not needed. does not expalin anyting and easily gets off subject. Nice guy. Likes to talk. I suggest another teacher or look online for additional help and be determined

The title of "Hardest Teacher" has been taken by Mr. O'Boyle. Every little thing can not be perfect. Even though he was tough, I wish him the best of luck in his career. I also hope that I end up passing.

I think he is very helpful to the students who show effort in their work. He is patient and understanding and he is willing to work with anyone who is willing to earn their grade. He is fair and a good teacher. I highly recommend students to sign up for his class.

This professor was a wonderful person. He was very willing to help, as long as he felt you were willing to put forth the effort...He's SO HOT! I would strongly recommend taking this professor, but only if you are up to date with your grammar
