Sweetest man you'll ever meet, but horrible professor. If you are okay with teaching yourself the material and able to do that on your own, then you'll be fine in his class. I had to teach myself the material and had a really hard time, tutoring center helped me a lot though. Reading the text is helpful since he doesn't teach

Dr. Pollard is a great professor who cares about his students. Gives three exams that are based directly off of his handouts. There are two other projects in the class, but they are automatic 100s if you follow the simple criteria. Funny guy who I highly recommend.

Dr. Pollard is an old-school teacher. He uses the overhead projected and writes out accounting stuff, but in a confusing way. I have learned nearly nothing in his class and I have had to teach myself. Do not take him. This class is difficult with a good teacher, and incredibly difficult with Bill.

Dr. Pollard is an amazing person, and his class is relatively easy, however he is not the best professor at App. Attendance is required, but his lectures aren't very helpful. A normal class could be condensed into 15 minutes and have the same content. He is hilarious and very willing to write recommendations or counsel your academic plan.

Not the greatest professor. Great guy, but he doesn't explain things very well in class. Expect to teach yourself a lot. Only have your tests that make up your grade. So you have to really study and do well on them. I have always done well in my classes, and I really struggled in this one. He's super boring and doesn't keep you engaged.

Don't get me wrong, Dr. Pollard is an extremely nice man. He is always in a great mood too. However, I do NOT recommend taking him for any accounting class. All he does is handout packets with practice problems, and reads off the answers like we can read them ourselves. Coming to class is a complete waste of time. HE DOESN'T TEACH!!!

Pollard wasn't very clear when teaching this course. He also gets distracted easily. He puts tons of trick questions on his exams so watch out, it killed my grade.

Pollard is sweet and friendly. Class time, however, is wasted a lot of the time. He gets distracted. I found if you work the handout problems he gives out then you will do good on tests.

nice guy, terrible teacher, senile. lots of hw, even though he gives you all the answers, he still requires that you write it all down and turn it in. for a 5 week summer class, it's an absurd amount of hw.. tests are so confusing, i don't know how he thinks up the questions.. textbook is mandatory b/c his lectures are uselessly confusing.

Pollard is a nice man, I would love to have him as my grandpa, but he is not a good accounting professor. He gets distracted way too easily and ends up going on about pieces of wisdom that have nothing to do with the class. I pretty much had to teach myself the material between the book and these handouts he gives.

I loved this class the first few weeks. Pollard is possibly the most likable person on earth and he'd spend most of his class sharing interesting, often hilarious stories and nuggets of wisdom with us. Then exam time came and I realized that I knew almost none of the material and had to drop the class. Oh well.

This professor is really fun and actually makes accounting sound interesting. If you do all the handout problems and understand them you will do great on the tests. Go to class because he takes attendance but you don't really need to take many notes in class or read the textbook. Make sure you study all the material from the semester for the final

Like others have said, a very nice guy, but not a very good teacher. Has an attendance policy but not very useful to actually go to class. Not too bad of a class as long as you can read the book and understand the material outside of class. Tests aren't too bad and a there are a few homework grades.

Very nice guy, but not a good teacher. I had the hardest time following him in class; he gets side-tracked easily telling stories, and forgets to make his point. I tried to take notes in his class and never got more than 1/2 a page per class. More than 3 absences and you lose 10 points on you final class grade, but class feels like a waste of time.

Such a nice old guy. Very funny, cracks jokes all the time. Gives very helpful handouts weeks before test with all solutions. Some tests are hard but it depends on the material. Did great on one, but not so good on another. Definitely take him, very down to Earth and makes you less stressed about upcoming tests.

He is very smart; head of graduate department for acct. class is very difficult because he doesn't really teach. this is very much a self-taught class but he does give you problems/solutions to work through. you need to keep up in this class.
