One of the most kind and warm human beings I have ever met. What a privledge to have had Mr. Powell as an instructor. He is deserving of nothing less than the utmost of respect. mr. powell is an extremely nice man. he is very kind and enjoys when people speak-up in class. i had him for two classes and i can honestly say that professor powell was definitely one of my favorites!

I took him for Intro to Psy. I have well over 100 in his class. He's super nice although his lectures get a little boring sometimes. I always just went over the key term and stuff in each chapter before a test and he always throws out bad questions so you always get higher than you actually made.

I had him for Religion and Anthro this last semester and he was awesome. Group presentations in Religion were graded by the class... Very relaxed teaching style. Fair in grading...few items for grade though so you had better do them. Allows late work and testing. Very nice and knowledgeable teacher. I would take him again!

Mr. Powell is a very warm and kind man. He treats each person with respect - he knew every student's name by the end of the 1st week. Tests are easy if you pay attention in class - he tosses out the questions that are "bad items" so it is possible to make 100+. Very flexible and understanding if you run into difficulties during the semester.

At first,Comparative religion was boring. He read right from the book. Then he broke us up in groups and had the group do an oral presentation. Psycology was a blast. He still read alot from the book but he broke us up into groups again. He is a very nice man and will do anything to help you understand the material.

Psych was difficult for me to grasp in the first place, but I loved his class anyway. I made a B but lots of people made A's. I really liked him though and he is great to visit with outside of class. Very interesting and nice man. He sort of reminded me of my granpa.

Mr. Powell is the most awesome teacher! He is sweet and extremely helpful as well as funny. His test were sometimes hard, the questions could be tricky. Just participate in class disscussions and read the chapters and you should do fine.

mr. powell was really awesome. he kinda got upset with my class b/c no one read the text, so when he asked questions it was really quiet. He always tells really interesting stories, and relates to his students. his tests are difficult b/c he is VERY wordy in the questions.read the chapter, and you'll pass easy.

powell was a great teacher who i would recommend. he may not be the easiest teacher but he definitely kept you awake. he is the type of teacher who would walk around the room and really talk to you one on one in class to get your opinion.
