I had Frost for Chem 107 and it was pretty hard, He expects you to remember Chemisty from high school or previous classes and questions the class instead of teaching the class, I wouldnt recommend him if Chemisty isnt an easy subject for you,

Frost is a good guy, he certainly has a problem with explaining too much, so if you took your basic chemistry class in high school a year ago, you'll be fine. STUDY THE BACKTESTS. If you go office hours and ask questions you'll be fine in both lab and lecture. Be open-minded and don't be afraid to ask questions. He's a smart dude, too smart for 107

The only reason I'm doing well in this class is because I remembered most of my highschool chem class and kept the notes. He goes at a very fast pace and if you don't have a good foundation for basic chem it's very difficult. After the first exam he sent out the most dramatic/mean email to the class saying most of us would fail the class

Worst teacher I have ever had. I had 3 tutors and couldn't pass the class. Speaks to you, not teaches the class. Gives pre test to help, then totally changes questions when given actual test in class.

Frost is a great guy. While the course is challenging, if you read outside of class and put some work in you should be fine. He's always available in office hours to help you. Participate so that he knows your name.

Frost is a tough professor, but is willing to help. It may seem like he rags on people, but it is all in good fun. He puts up the back tests and quizzes with answers. He will give quizzes on information you haven't gotten to in class yet, but he will go over them, so read the chapters on the syllabus. He is really looking to make sure you learn.

Frost is literally one of the worst professors I've ever had. He makes the course so unbelievably hard, not only to understand, but to work with in any way. He makes the tests impossible, and he is so condescending and will call on you whether or not you want to be called on. DO NOT TAKE HIM. If you have to take him, may God have mercy on you.

Whatever you do, don't take Frost. His lectures are so all over the place - you never know what he's talking about, which can be frustrating in a subject like Chemistry. He doesn't so much teach the concepts as he does talk to you about them. He will call on you at random - good luck if you don't know the answer.

Very disorganized. Lectures do not reflect what is on the exams. Gets off topic very often. Very hard to understand the way he teaches and lectures the whole time. Too many lecture slides. He was by far the professor I disliked the most. Would never take him again. He is sometimes a bit funny though if that matters to you.

Frost is a knowledgeable guy who knows his stuff. He is difficult to follow at times because he is so knowledgeable and trails off, but if you do your work outside of class and attend the lectures you will do fine. He curves many grades which makes an A achieveable. Easy to access outside of class. Make sure he knows your name :)

Frost calls you on bs. You have to pay attention in his class, he'll call you out but he cares about his students and wants you to succeed. He gives you plenty of opportunities to bring up your grade. He works with you if you need help and is always if you need help with class work or really anything. Highly recommend

He is such a great professor. Use his review sessions because they will help a lot! If you go over the slides before and after each lecture, it really helps. This is one of the best classes I have ever taken. Once I was able to grasp the material and explain it to others, I wanted to learn more about chemistry. Now, I'm considering to minor in chem

Honestly one of the worst teachers i have had. Doesn't go over the material at all, literally tells you information in the context that he is letting you know that he knows it. Gets mad when you don't understand the question. The exams are way to hard for a basic chemistry class that is a general requirement. Goes over class time by rambling.

Makes the class harder than it needs to be and complicates simple ideas. He really does want you to succeed and doesn't fail people. DEFINITELY have to put in work outside class or you won't pass. He's not as bad as some people say, but he's not the best professor I've ever had. He is willing to help you outside of class, if you have the time

Frost has a unique style of teaching. He isn't the most clear at explaining but he is VERY accessible outside of class. I spent many hours at his review sessions and in his office hours. He wants everyone to do well and he really will help you if you're willing to go to him and put the time in. Comes off intimidating at first but very approachable!

Frost curves every single test enough to move you up a letter grade. He doesnt want anyone to do bad. You need to go to every lecture to pass the class. No hw in his class just mini take home quizzes each week that are graded. He post all of the back tests on his D2L page which are very similar to actual exam.

Honestly the worst teacher I have ever had at the university. The material he teaches in class does not reflect the material on the tests and quizzes. His lectures have no structure what so ever. Also, if you go to his office hours he talks about pretty much anything OTHER than what you actually went there for. Also he's grumpy and rude.

Frost is a great guy, but has a very unique and difficult teaching style. Don't take him if you wish to have organized lectures and notes. He talks for the majority of the class about what you DON'T need to know and spends little time showing examples or clearly explaining ideas. His teaching style is probably not useful for a lower level class.

This man is the man. He has his own style of teaching, which I enjoy very much, including energy and clarity. It's definitely better if you participate during lecture, and visiting his office hours if needed. Otherwise, just keep up with the lectures and network with fellow classmates and you'll be fine.
