Janine is very enthuastic, kind, passionate and energetic when teaching. She deeply cares about her studnets and is an excellent teacher. Like learning any lanugage, one must be prepared to study hard. Exams were straighfoward but difficult (possibly because I did not study as much as i should have). Language is like math; memorize and understand!

Janine is very passionate about what she teaches. She is clear, easy to follow, and very helpful. She gives you 10-15 percent just for showing up and showing interest! Tests are fair and not tricky. Don't see anything that you have not gone over extensively in class or lab. She also teaches you about South American culture which is really cool.

I hate spanish language after studying with her. Very hard exams with very strict marking. She talks with students as they are native Spanish speakers.

She needs to teach this class like a highschool course because you are learning a language! The homework assignments were helpful and she left it up to the students to decide if they wanted to do them. She was always willing to help and was a fabulous prof.

Teaches like it's a high school course, with little stupid assignments and games. Homework is worth WAY too much; you'd think if you learn the material you should get a good grade but that's not how it works with Janine.
