I graduated in '87. I can say my career in radio / TV / video & TV production / business and life in general can be attributed to Bob. Did he challenge me? Yes. Did I challenge myself? Yes. Everything I put into the program I got back in spades! Not ready for the tough world of deadlines, professionalism, and being a journalist - you fail.

He and I had a personality conflict and he faild me, twice. My grade went from a 48/50 to a 36 then 11. With no reason as to why and nothing was done differently in those weeks. Fanshawe wont do anything for their students. They will not hear them out no matter how many people complain about him.

He is a horrible obstacle, not in the least bit encouraging. His tactics are unreasonable and growth-restricting. The worst part is that his grades stay on your record. He is in charge of absolutely everything in that dept. There is no way to get a second opinion. I am very disappointed with Fanshawe for keeping him on staff.

stop whining? get bent, this guy has the worst favouritsm habits I have ever seen. I have seen an enormous amount of talent leaving M Building because of Robert Collins. And as for his position as he is appointed to make ALL decisions for ALL broadcasting programs.. Fanshawe should reconsider that if they want the best Broadcasting Program

Bob Collins stole a year of my life and about $4000. He does not help and he does not teach. He weeds people out, takes their money and does his best to get rid of them. I learned nothing from him while paying his salary. I feel that the faculty of Fanshawe should seriously look into the legality of his methods and reconsider his pension.
